Indoors at H.P. Hobbies in Hutchison during the winter, and at Emery park rc in Wichita for outdoor during the summer. The Nitro knockout at Emery park should be coming up soon. We'll be racing in Hutch until it gets hot outside. There's threads in the KS-MS racing section and you can like us on FB to see upcoming events.
I let a couple people wheel the truck and they were all smiles. Now there's 4x4s and e-buggies going up for sale to make room for the Tekno rides. Speaking of ...anyone wanna buy a RC8.1e? Will trade for a EB48!

didn't lose my first race with the stock springs either, but it definitely feels better with the spring change

Heck, if the stock setting though feels good to you, keep blowing them out with it lol.

Where did you get the Blaze at? Also, how does it compare torque-wise to a 540 4 pole motor?

For the Pyscho Nitro Blast, how close were you guys to the overall winner with the sc10 4x4? How would you compare the handling you saw between your Tekno's and the sc10 4x4?

i was always in same heat as max so i couldn't see how it handled. the track was SO blown out it was pretty much who got around clean and avoided obstacles in my opinion. i recall a couple holes where it looked like half of my truck disappeared. lol

It didn't hurt that Max has more stand time then most. He ran iike 3 or 4 classes that were back to back.

i'm looking for a new sensored motor for mine. tired of the cogging w/ the sensorless. what's a good sensored motor for the tekno? i was looking into the hacker 5.5, but it's a 540 can 4 pole. does anyone see an issue running a 540 sized 4 pole?

I just started racing E-Buggy and 4x4 SC because of Tekno. I didn't have a very good experience with the SC10 4x4 last year and only ran it a handful of times. I didn't even bother bringing the SC10 4x4 to PNB last year and just ran 2wd.

Seeing PNB for the first time last year I knew I had to come back with a 1/8th. A good friend sold me his Tekno converted Mugen back in September and I was so impressed with what Tekno had come up with that I back-ordered the truck the day it was available. I love this truck but I still feel like with all the 2-wheelin' I've been doing that I'm still learning how to drive 4wd's.

Max walked away with it last year and I knew how fast he was but as good as the Tekno felt I still thought I had a chance.

To answer your question. Max's SC10 navigated the turns well and he found great lines but he had to double single the triple most of the time. The few times I saw him try it he crashed or barely drove away from it.

I was able to keep the super tight lines where necessary and could of pushed my Tekno harder through the rough stuff but you always run the risks of a bad bounce or a break at that track and played it safe. Out of the 22 laps we did between the two mains I probably hit the triple 19-20 times only letting up if there was traffic.

Chris Viesins (TQ) also looked like he had trouble with the triple and double singled most of the time.

After 20 minutes of driving Max and I did 22 laps and I was 39 seconds behind.

I would say you'd be in the minority if you didn't run a 540 4 pole...atleast, till the new Pro4 HD's hit the shelves...personally run the Tekin 4600 Pro 4...

Of course the Rev Pro works with your Blaze 5700, that isn't a 4-pole. I really want my Rev Pro to work in my SCT410, but it just doesn't reliably. With it officially not supported with 4-pole motors I don't want to smoke the ESC and have no warranty recourse. I ended up going with the HW SCT Pro 120 and its perfect.

I'm running the Trinity RevTech 4xs in mine. Depending on surface or power needs (possibly slightly maybe over geared ) I run it bare, or with a heat sink and fan. Either or it has favorable power over my Tenshock SC411 4600 and is able to say in the 140-170 deg range.

Cool whatever works for you. I do not see the need for the 4 pole motor at all i ran a Tekin 4 pole in a Terra Buggy it was just as fast. i like the smoothness of the 550 motor better. The fastest guy in my area runs a 550 in his truck for the same reson. Smooth feel. I like it so far who knows how i will feel after i go to more and bigger tracks.
