Cool, did that increase the motor temp by any chance?

And does your SCT410.3 wheelie much after changing the oil?

Running thicker center diff can make the car behave closer to slipper clutch, I hear.

No issues with motor temp.

Yes, wheelies on occasion.

I was also running 100k if the f/r diffs.

Is there a big following for the original 410? I still have a good condition one and it just sits, just wondering what I should do with it I am guessing it would cost too much to bring it to .3 specs?

Actually not as bad as one would think. Below is FierceRC's basic upgrade package. This gets you the .3 towers, arms, and a few other things (I didn't look exactly) This will get you the .3 suspension geometry, but lacks the .3 pill adjust-ability.

http://fiercercsolutions.com/Tekno-S...ecs-FRC005.htm

You can get close to current setups with the V1 pills, but if you want full functionality I would grab the following composite set

http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR5730...10-TKR5730.htm

Then grab the aluminum A & C Blocks below.

http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR5161...EB-TKR5161.htm

http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR5163...EB-TKR5163.htm

That covers the performance aspect of the upgrade.

For the convenience, which I love, and have this in all of my vehicles, is the split center diff. You'll thank yourself for this, trust me.

http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR5260...-m-TKR5260.htm

http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR5263...EB-TKR5263.htm

IMHO, and what I would do, is the basic kit, the split diff, and call it a day. (As long as your already have the aluminum A block.)

One more thing that I would do, is upgrade to the .4 steering, even if you keep the rest as the version one.

&
http://fiercercsolutions.com/TKR8104...on-TKR8104.htm

But I will say this, there are guys that love their V1 trucks. Some of them just haven't put the work in on setup with the .3, or just like the feel of old faithful. So there is no right or wrong answer. I was getting beat for months by my old V1 when I first got my .3, and got the .3 where I was happy with it.

Default Dirt Oval too!

Dusted off my SCT410 to run some dirt oval course here in RGV that still have a jump or two on straights shared with off road courses at several of the RV parks. Used BOSSROSS' setup (posted here) but with Black front and Yellow rear springs. With no tweaks for oval I wasn't expecting much (but I had a car to run as my regular oval car would not take the jumps) but I was really surprised - it was amazing. Note BOSSROSS' set up is for the original SCT410 - it may have to be tweaked some for newer versions of the SCT410 as I believe some of the shock mounting positions may have changed.

I actually run my sct410.3 on a loose dirt oval in NH. Actually don't make any changes at all from my off-road setup, just throw a SLM body on it, and we're good to go. LOL

SLM Body? I'm curious, would you post or PM your setup? My SCT410 car works so well, I'm thinking of putting a similar set up on my OFNA oval car (it is a converted on road car with a stiff RF spring).

There's no SCT410.4 coming any time soon. I saw Joe's truck this past weekend and he basically just was doing what most guys do and tossing on the .4 steering, hrc hubs, and some springs on his .3. He won against some tough competition. I think since this truck is still very competitive and that market has slowed some, it will just be lower on the priority list. That doesn't mean no, just other stuff first.

This is purely my opinion. Nothing official.

yeah but so are both .4 buggies

all I'm saying is don't put too much into the 'their out of stock' theory. Who knows, maybe they will release the .4 in SCT, Truggy and ETruggy all at once on the same day as the 4wd buggy :P

Wow, They'd drop the bomb on our wallets, and force us all into the doghouse for at least a month.

Uh oh...Bob is out of Rama mode....And back on the forums.
