hobbywing xr10 pro with the v10 motor combo is excellent. i came from a Tekin RSX and gen 3 combo before that - so it's not like i dont have perspective. the hobbywing is so smooth and fast it's unbelievable.
Curious to see how often others with the ECS shafts do maintenance on them. I've been cleaning and re greasing mine every other race outing and they still seem to wear extremely fast. I'm running on a low to med traction dirt indoor track so this type of wear seems excessive in my opinion.
I will likely go back to the regular shafts unless I am missing something on how to reduce the wear on these parts. The replacement pins and drive cases are wearing out too soon for me to continue replacing them.

so yes run shrink rap over the joint (be sure to make the shrink rap go over the barrel a bit so when you shrink it it locks on. and also use dry lube in combination. i clean mine out maybe once every 4-5 days at the track (on clay - way less on carpet) and they could go longer but they get a tiny bit gritty.
A balloon maybe?

does anyone know if it's cool to run more front droop than rear droop for increased rear traction? will the differing droop levels mess with jump landings or anything of that nature? i was thinking of running 0-1mm limiters in the front and 1-2mm in the rear. thoughts? bent?
Anyone have a good setup for cqrpet/astro? Picked up a car from antti silvennoinen, run on dirt looks like. No ides whats in the shocks or diffs, but looking at a decent setup for carpet astro-cambers, ride heights, springs etc.

I figured his setup is just carpet. Hard to tell with astro also involved

i am currently running 1mm in both front and rear..
Next concern is, do I grab a carpet or dirt edition for hard packed clay with good traction.

id say get the carpet and you can tune for clay, also if worst comes to worst you could buy the DE tranny and throw it in once it's released, but at least youll have the carbon towers and what not, i don't think the plastic towers are needed on med-high bite clay.

They have plenty of astro setups listed there.
In my opinion petitrc site provides easier navigation through setup list compared to xray site as setups are already arranged in order depending on track surface.

thank's daniel, should i run 0mm or 1mm? med-high bite clay (slicks) but there's a huge 40ft triple that i sometimes bottom off the huge take off and landing.
And yes all parts on the car in the video are available to the public
Bent
Oh i know that triple i broke my 22-4 there twice and i sold it ill stay with xray sense it handles the crashes better lol
