[QUOTE=lyons238;14497439]my new XB4 16' build is going swell. man this kit is quality! much nicer than TLR's stuff and i thought TLR was awesome!

any tips on alum servo horns? i cant find one to fit, especially with the floating servo mount.

blaat blaat murda murda

I use the tlr aluminum servo horn and it works prefect with the new spectrum shorty servo and floating servo mount. here is a link to it at amain, http://www.amainhobbies.com/rc-cars-...lr1557/p203507

the steering is just crazy on this buggy and I havent noticed a change from the stock plastic to the tlr one

ya you pretty much have to use a TLR servo horn on spektrum servos.

tried to tell dunford that they fixed the wrong part (servo gear instead of the horns) and he didnt' want to hear it. Regular servo horns, non clamping, won't fit very well if at all.

^ what did you mean here? hard to understand what part was fixed wrong?

and regular servo horns non clamping wont fit very well at all on what? the TLR is a non clamping servo horn and your recommending to use that. your post makes literally no sense to me lol...

also guys i had a 22-4 servo horn and it wouldnt go on my savox servo...its the right size 25t but it would only go on a tiny bit and get jammed up.

not sure what i should do, i also don't want to wear the paint off my body where the longer hudy horn might rub.

Would this horn work? I use these on my T4 because the distance from hole-to-hole is 18.5mm like the Xray servo saver that comes with the T4. It looks kind of gunmetal in the pic, but the one I received was black as described.

its hard to tell how big that is in a picture. you can take the stock plastic one and hold it up to the one you want, just make sure to use the hole that lines up closes with the stock plastic one.

so this just got listed today on AMAINS website as a new item as of today. I was wondering if this was for the new 16 spec or if it is a re-release for the older 15 and 14 spec which is weird that it just came out now for a older car. here is the link to it, I am sure hoping its for the 16spec.

Does anyone know of a good front bumper or skid plate that would help in the event I land a little to nose down off the jump?

Normal size servo or low profile? Will both fit, is it tight with normal size and low profile is preffered?

use a normal servo. theres plenty of room in 4wd. plus theyre more durable. low profile servos tend to use thinner gears and just innards in general, so they tend to not handle as much abuse.

yes i use the savox sc1258tg black edition, pretty perfect specs for a 4wd buggy. over 150oz of tq, speed around or under .10sec, titanium gear, not overly expensive.
