Just clearance the plastic chassis and it should fit

Not only does it need the tub chassis removed .but it will need propper shimming . I used 3 on the backside of the diff and one towards the front. And you will need to cut the portion of the battery posts off n re install it .other than that it works grrrrrreat!!!!!

That depends on many variables. With a shorty it's 1700g ball park. Basically my 15spec was 80g lighter with same electrics compared to my 44.3.

17.5 is fun.. Mine was 1640ish with gear diffs and center slipper.

I run an aluminum heatsink and or a fan. 75/30-31 pinion with D4 SS..

I think you could drill some holes thru the slipper shafts, and the ball diffs if there was a serious race class.

I'm running #361169 without running #361173 the only problem is there is no were to mount body post on the front, so i just use the rear clip for the rear and velcro on the body in the front and theres no problem at all, i did how ever order the part just to see if it makes a difference just out of curiosity.

When using 361168 does it come with a spacer for the center diff plate that mounts over the center diff. Currently it uses the top deck as a spacer.

361168 does not come with the spacer. That piece comes with the 361173 x-brace OR you could order that spacer separately as part #361172.

Looking for a bit of gearing advice. I am running a 6.5T motor, on a fairly large track, 30-32sec lap times. I had it geared 18/81 and my motor was getting hot, 175-180f, with speedo temps of about 130f. (it was a hot day as well, 90-94f)

The speedo would go into reduced power due to the motor temp, had the limit set to 80C (176F). No boost or turbo set. (I have increased the temp limit for the motor to 120c (248f) so it will not shut down, but may fry the motor!)

Tomorrow is going to be even hotter, may hit 100f, not sure what way to go with the gearing, up or down? Thinking I should put a fan on it as well.

Any advice is welcomed! And by the way, the buggy is fantastic, I was only 1sec. off the fast guys pace, and this was the first time running off road in 20+years.

I run a 5.5 with 18 pinion and motor runs about 150. Could go either way in gearing. I've seen temps drop going up in pinion but not always. You could be under geared and spinning the motor too fast. What is the timing set at on the end bell? I would definitely run a fan on both esc and motor in hot temps. Also I know you've probably checked but make sure nothing is binding in the drive train.
