That's why I specifically said in my post that I just rebuilt them with all new pins. They had fresh grease and new pins. And this has now happened twice.

I just bought a replacement pack of pins too as I noticed that the tips were wearing quickly on mine, I also put the Durango boots over the aluminum retainers and hope that will help keep grease in / dirt out. I think I'll see who else makes 10mm x 2mm pins and try them out (Mugen?). As previously stated the slipper may be too tight though, I keep hearing that the range in the owners manual may even be too tight.

Not all grease is the same. I tried some Grim Racing Speed grease, I didn't like it at all and I manage to catch it just before the pin broke through the plastic cup. I have been using Eureka Lube for awhile now with no problems. On both plastic and alum cups.

In regards to the slipper setting. The manual setting is a good starting point (sometimes). We all use different motors and race on different surfaces. You have to use your common sense. You can either start tight and back it off after each run until you are happy or start on the loose side and tighten it up (you will glaze up the pads doing it this way if it's too loose for the whole race).

On slipper adjustment start at 6.3mm and tighten from there. In both my cars I'm usually around 5.90mm

Everything fits except the rear triangle brass weights (2013 doesn't have the pre drilled chassis holes)

Or do you mean to use the boots without the special order pin alloy pin retainers? Then i think some are using these...

Do the boots simply just slide over and stay there? would think they would move. Sorry i'm an onroad guy and we don't have this problem normally

If you get the cups try the spec r ones they are cheap and they have other really nice xb4 goodies with what looks like really nice stuff on the way as well.

I have the exotek cups on now but wanting to keep out some dirt. I did notice that Spec R has DCJ's for this! I was wondering if anyone does this in offroad as its now standard in onroad. Any reason why we wouldn't want to run them?

Does anyone run bladders in the stock XB4 shocks? What brand/s will fit or are commonly used if this is possible. Would there be an advantage to running a different manufacturers shocks like maybe Kyosho etc...

Thanks,

Thanks,
What's wrong with the stock shocks? Mine are perfect, and this is with the "inferior" stock pistons.
