I'm looking for some advice guys. Let's start off by saying this car ( 2013 xb4) is real good and consistent compared to many of the other 4wds if owned. I am currently running the Martin Bayer setup on high bite clay track. The only changes I have to the suspension are avid pistons (1.6front and rear) and associated green rear spring.
The complaint I have about this car is it jumps horrible. It is a constant situation of either having to bring the nose down in the air or gassing it to bring it up to level things out. Now before people jump on me and tell me how to drive\jump, I am not a rookie and my original racing roots are from 1\8th scale nitro which requires much more jumping ability and control in the air. I almost wonder if the strong points of this car driving a lot like a sedan which I believe is partly because of the lack of droop are its weakness when it comes to jumping and landing. The best way I can describe it is some cars are very "cat like", meaning they tend to want to level out and land nice on all fours. Has anyone else had this complaint that has found a way to make it jump better.

We had the same issue when we got our kit and it was configured with two hole pistons it was improved a lot when we switched to the three hole set up. Obviously it should be possible to make it work with a two hole configuration, but this was the solution for us. I have since gone to the 2x1.1 + 2x1.6 configuration in the rear, and it still jumps well.
ok just got back and now i can land that jump anyware i want to and it lands perfect. problem solved.

is this the 2013 car or the new one? removing the composite piece on the old chassis and dropping the trans onto the aluminum made quite a difference. you may want to try that. you need to remove the carbon shim from the front of the bulkhead mount as well. the stock screws all still fit just fine.

Does anyone know if the new wider offset front wheels are a running change or a different part number? I looked at the exploded view and it seemed to be the same part number. I want to get some new wheels but would like to keep the offset the same as the 2013 wheels.
