Was told by X Ray team mechanic they are must haves for high grip.
I mean, the are X-Ray parts... same guys that designed the arms designed the stiffeners... maybe they know something we don't... maybe...

Martin Bayer & other team drivers can probably tell the difference of using the carbon plates and use it to their advantage. Just keep in mind, if you need to be marshalled and cannot drive a clean heat and make clean passes at the club level, you simply need more practice! It's you, not your gear.

and If you leave a small amount of "lip" that rests on the rear shock tower.. the wing will stay straight and true for a long time

So how is the new XB4 2014 compared to the "old" XB4?
and what will be good upgrades to buy right from the start?
Best Regards.

The other thing is the arm plates are more appropriate in 1/8th where the shear weight and speed of the vehicles demands a much higher level of durability. In our scale, especially on this beautiful little precise car it seems out of place to add unsprung weight to decrease arm flex. And not being facetious, exactly what is the problem ? is the flex changing something ? caster ? antisquat/antidive ? ??? what ? seriously. If I am being asked to bolt on that thing I want to know exactly why.
edit: and why not just make a stiffer arm ? lighter and not so "mickey mouse"

Any one have any idea what the front and rear lengths of the shocks are. Think I'm going to try some kyosho shocks.

Quick 5 min vid of me learning our local track's new layout(crashing a lot). The bright orange buggy is my Stock XB4, need to make a few setup changes to adapt to the new track and get a lot more track time. Towards the end(after the video) I did manage to get a few good laps in before I got t-boned by a crazy SCT driver and dislodged a few parts...

New optional XB4 aluminum gear diff and steel pinion gear to be released soon
XRAY has been working on a new optional aluminum gear diff and steel pinion gear. The combination of these gears increase reliability, and also improve the drivability of the car more at high-traction tracks due to the increased weight. The aluminum gear is machined from ultra-strong Swiss 7075 T6 and is then additionally black hardcoated for maximum lifespan. For medium- and low-traction tracks, we recommend using the standard composite graphite gears which generate more traction.
