Ok so what are all of the issues with the buggy?Im going to buy one anyways just want to know what to mod/replace/and keep on top of mainly.Im not a bad driver and never usually mess up so i know that might take most of the problems away but need to know most of the issues.
So far i see:
*leaking shocks and diffs(maybe a selant?)
*possible outdrive issue(upward travel easily fixed)
*shock tower breakage(ca them and maybe flanged locknuts & countersunk washers to strengthen?)
*diff cases(maybe not land upside down so much?)
*diff gears(maybe a case issue or shimming issue?)
Anything else?I can fix most of the issues above already.

My shocks stopped leaking after a few rebuilds, the tops of the bodies got some love.
My diffs leaked because of mechanic error, also stopped leaking after a few rebuilds.
Yup on checking shock travel VS the outdrives, like any car.
The original towers are junk, the FREE upgrade should be better, the braces should end that issue.
The diff cases need more beef or a slightly altered plastic blend. Perhaps the tower braces will help a bit.
No issues here with gears. Slipper set a little on the loose side. Do a bench test, don't trust the calipers. It will loosen a bit after a few runs but not too much.

Ok so green slime for the shocks and diff orings as a precautionary measure, orings for limiting, gears should be fine with a 6.5 and i never have a super tight slipper so diff gears should get a break,And possibly of the bulkhead braces just in case and maybe the aluminum towers if the cf ones are a problem

Also will associated spur gears fit in this? The pads look like associated pads so the gears might work?

I think the diameter of the hole is different. But just get a spare stock spur and you'll be fine.

When you build it get a tube of black gasket sealant for the shock cap threads and the diff gaskets and you'll be set. And some shock towers, the washers don't help. Or wait for the upgrade package to be out.

Does anyone have a fix for the CVD pin pushing thru the plastic cap? Mine push thru front driveshaft and chunked my composite chassis underneath the cvd. I dont think shrink wrap will work because it poked a hole clean thru the plastic.

Thanks,
Rocky

AE spurs don't fit. The center hole is much smaller than the xray spurs. Its possible to drill the hole out to 6mm diameter, but make sure the drill is centered properly on the spur. The xray slipper pads are just a little bit too big for the AE spur, but the AE slipper pads fit fine together with the spur if you've drilled the center hole.

I think Xray said to make sure there was plenty of black grease in the cvd should stop this.
