Congrats on the XB4... I guess what track or tracks do you plan to race at, that will help with advice on upgrades or parts to get.

Myself personally I really like the Center Diff over the Spur Gear since I'm used to it as a tuning options. I would look at getting the Avid or Schelle 2x1.6 pistons both front and Rear. As for springs hard to say without knowing type of track or surface, example smooth clay high bite, hard pack clay medium bite.

I have a 2017 XB4 enroute from A Main. I previously owned a 2013, 2014 and 2015 model. Does the 2017 model come with aluminum cvd covers, or are they still plastic ones in the kit? In the past the drive pins would eventually walk out of the cvds and still drive right through the dang plastic covers . Just trying to think of the list of things i want to get before the build.

Plastic. I'd get different front rims, too.

Hard pack medium bit would be most of the tracks around me , yeah I bealive the center diff would make it easier I have both the xb8 17 and xb8e 16 but very new to 10 scale

The XB4 is nothing like the xb8. I wish the xb8 was more like the xb4 The XB4 is very easy and positive to drive. its almost unfair compared to other 4wd's out there.

Default Xb4 2017

Hey guys I just ran mine on astro for the first time and had a issue with the left rear cvd popping out. When I look it's like the cvd doesn't sit in the outdrive as much as the other side at all. Both bones are marked correctly and match what's up with this thing lol

I can't right now. But it was good plunge on the right side and just barely plunges on the left it's chewed up the outdrive a tad so I'll replace as soon as I find out my issue. The inserts in the mounts are the same I've looked over it all. It's like that side is getting too much droop but it's all built to factory setup and shouldn't do it

I used to use the '16 body on my old '15 with a couple small tweaks to the body mounts. I think I bought the low front mount but can't remember if I ended up running without a front mount and just ran Velcro or what. But it did work.

OK thanks for the help, do you think the updated center gear diff would be easier , I've owned a 2wd and could never set that slipper diff right, or is the slipper much better
