Inner lower has quicker initial steering and faster steering response. The forward hole smooth's out steering and slows initial turn in. Outer holes are the same principle, but will add a little more steering in the corner.

Ran my XB4 '16 on carpet for the first time last night. I didn't have time to completely change my setup, so all I did was switch back to the slipper, put a front sway bar back on and lower the ride height to 18mm. The car felt really good but I can see how much better it could be.
Carpet was new CRC black, It was the first race for the track, so everyone was in the same boat with no carpet experience. I ran some old AKA clay typos that were sanded down to slicks. Without a full carpet setup, true carpet tires would have been undriveable. I qualified 2nd and ended up 3rd in the race, held 2nd for the most of the race but too many mistakes late dropped me to third.
I'm going to need a new '17 I think and set it up for carpet so I don't have to switch setups all the time

Does anyone use the Hudy oils? Are they worth the extra money? I just put a few in my cart and I'm about to buy them but I started thinking $75 for 6 oils is a little nuts when I can buy the same oils in Losi or AE for $25

That's ridiculous for only 6 oils.
I've been running Losi oils in mine and I can buy them at LHS cheap and walk in anytime to buy them

Has anybody gotten the '17 car yet? I'm really surprised to see it not in stock still on Amain.

I hope to see some setups coming out of Reedy Race...looks like the XB4 was working well out there.

My car felt weird in the main on Sunday, the rear pinion screw came loose. I lock tighted them while building it. Took awhile to clean the grease out of the threads on the center shaft yesterday. Hopefully I got enough grease off the threads so the locktight can do it's job. I'll be checking these pinion screws threw out the race day for a few weeks. The good thing is the pinion/shaft/ring gear look fine but the true test will be when I run it later this week. To be safe I ordered some parts yesterday.

i switched to hudy oils about 6 months ago from losi oil.the main thing i noticed is the oil stays consistent, with the losi oil it worked fine but i could notice it getting thinner as it heated up, basically the buggy would become softer
