JAE you seem a tad on the high side at least in my experience and from what ive read from the team for diff fluid. 500k outdoor is perfect - works on clay too but it's not as fast. 1m works excellent on medium bite to higher bite clay. 2m works maybe on the highest bite clay but it's more oriented to those who want to run a center diff on carpet. put it this way i wouldn't want to use higher than 1m on my clay track. 1m took some getting used to itself, the car became twitchy and relentlessly fast with a ton of forward bite but also a bit skatey in the corners. it's a handful for sure but once you learn it it's incredibly fast compared to lighter oils. people who use 500k and under on indoor clay tracks are missing out on some speed.

Think you may be right, as of right now am running a 13.5 so usually prefer the slipper regardless... 500K felt slow for me on an outdoor, hard packed dirt track with dusty edges. Felt myself wanting the slipper on super hi bite clay with 1mm which is why i was going to try higher. perhaps my opinion will change when i put in my 6.5

10.5 is good enough and more controllable.

UPS man just brought my 16' xb4!!! Sunday I will begin the build. This is my first kit build ever which played a role in me getting the xb4. X-ray is supposed to have the best manual and fit so I figured that would be a good one to start w/. I got spare arms f/r and medium braces/side guards but I'm gonna start off w/ the hard ones. My current 4wd has so much grip in the rear it won't turn so I wanna try it out stock and if it is too much I'll go to the medium plastics. I got a center diff as well but I will try the slipper out first as well. Gonna start w/ the base clay set up, I got the springs/fluids for that set up as well.

I've got the 16 XB4 dirt car, it handles amazing. It had so much traction with the setup I put in it, it was one of the team drivers high traction setups with heavy sway bars 1.6s front and rear, it is just plain amazing. I built mine with 10k front and rear with the slipper. The build is so easy, it goes quick.

I run all orion r10.1's. Love them but I hate the big on/off switch it uses. I have been eyeing the xr10 as well since the switch is on the esc

What are the 12 deg hubs good for? should I run the stock ones or the 12deg for med clay?

. I'm running the box setup currently but Am probably getting the schelle Pistons. So should I run 1.6 fr and rr or 1.6 fr/ 1.7 in the rr? And what oils?
Also why X-ray springs? 1 dot rr and 2 dot fr?

I am a big fan of Orion but I will tell you the new Reedy 510R is really nice. Very smooth with enough adjustments. The hobby wing has nice features but the feel of the software is a struggle for my driving style.

I had an orca vx3 and really liked it. I sold my other tekins and bought all vx3's. It's more convenient for me too cause u have a program box that I can make changes at the track with instead of with tekin having to connect to a laptop to make changes.
