Quick question, what are the spring lengths of the standard linear springs?

Uncanny you and I have the same taste in electronics. I run the same gear minus the motor. I cannot imagine my Orion 6.5T motor will differ in weight drastically. I will copy your electronics setup for now till I get the scales.

Where do you recommend I get one of these scales?

Yes I'd love to know as well before I mod the stock brace for astro?

I notice that Bruno's XB4 (Yatabe Arena Worlds Setup) also has the optional (modified stock) brace. Must be good for high grip?

Best price I've found was on ebay. They were about $100 shipped.

Bent mentioned in an earlier post they don't use the top deck on high bite, so I figured it was safe to do the same on low to med bite. I was trying to get more flex in the chassis and modded the brace at the same time I made a bunch of other changes so I can't say how much of a difference it made. It certainly didn't hurt because right now my car is awesome on low to med bite.

Yeah so does the part I linked. atleast it has a hole for the body post, not sure if it is the same as stock. Either way it looks like cutting it down does the exact same without spending the money for a new part. smart move

I purchased that piece from Amain and also the rear lower brace. That will mount the body post and its in the exact same location for the body.

Default Low stock

Being new to X-ray I notice stock being low for one of the large online retailers I frequently use.

Is this common with this brand? How long does it take for supplies to catch up?

I've also looked at rcamerica.com. based on recommendations. What a horrible experience. These guys are supposed to be an official distributor? Eek.

What is your issue with rcamerica!? You have to call them direct, don't go through the website trying to order parts. Rcamerica is the best hobby shop out of them all. Your the first and only complaint I have ever heard.. Can't please them all I guess..

Let's not attack the guy. He asked a question based off his experience and gave examples. He stated he was new so he wouldn't know to call and honestly in this day and age you shouldn't have to. I myself haven't been on their website so maybe it's not user friendly. Let's educate one another not possibly push him away.

Not attacking the guy, just posting my experience- yah it's the only place I "call" if I have to order something from them lol- never tried the online service myself

Ive got to say the guys (Ralph) at Rc America are great. I was able to pre-order the center diff way back before it was out and they had it on my doorstep the day after they got it, same with the 16spec. They over-nighted it for me so I could get it together and on the track that much sooner. people may complain about not being able to order from the website but I like the fact that we can call and talk to them 1on1. I get any questions answered right there and then.

now on to my question. I am pretty sure the top shock tower brace from the 14 & 15spec will not fit the new 16spec holes because they have been changed, but how about the bottom ones with the screws going to the bulkhead. WIll they fit on the 16spec?
