Handles the bumps better and felt like it accelerated more linearly. We are still in between tires at the track and I made the wrong choice in the the main, but the car was still able to best hot laps I had set earlier in the day because of how easy it is to drive. Didnt get hotlap for the field but atleast another xray did. Now I just need to focus on my driving and making fine adjustments to the car, I am very happy with how it feels
Glad those changes helped you in the right direction. You will find that very small changes go along way with the xb4.

Those are the only wheels I have currently and was planning on racing Saturday. So idk if I should glue up the tires and run as is or if I skip a race and order the kyosho fronts. You do mean DE speedline kyosho 2.4/60mm wheels is what I want right?
And what about my rear? I have 22-4 rears with exotek 9mm. Is that even correct?
I measure mine with hudy set up table with un-glued tires is 247mm front and rear If you using exotek 12mm 5.5 hex Front and 12mm hex exotek 9.0 wheels DE speedline 22-4/D413/B44.3

The Exotek are 2mm too wide, as your testing shows, (again).

The Exotek are too wide. Go read the post where Bent measures the stock 14mm width at 245mm. Get the wider X-ray 12mm hexes he recommended for the same 245mm track width and use X-ray 12mm rims. The 22-4 TLR offset rims are the same track width as well. Kyosho are a bit different.

Like the guys are saying I just measured my car with stock rims and hexes and 5.5mm exotek hexes and 22-4 rims and stock is 2mm narrower. I found these hexes in my parts box, not sure but I think they came from a kyosho, and they are 4mm wide and fit perfect. You can get the correct track width with a couple of shims or hex spacers and use 22-4 rims. Sorry not sure what they came from I'm a pack rat and keep everything for situations like this.

Fyi kyosho wheels with exotek hexes are in the middle at 1mm wider than stock.

That's the only one I have, but a friend has it at the moment to knock some more up as most of the 4wds at my local club are XB4s of some sort. Maybe when he's done them, he could sell you some.

I never had a problem with the rear bulkhead, so never used anything extra. The only different thing I did when I made mine & ones for others, was to use washers & some flanged nuts on the inner ballstuds, as I thought there was the chance that in a crash, it could twist the stud, which was why the towers would snap there.

as far as DE Racing wheel go there is only one type of 4wd front in 2.4, for 2.2 you have to choice of ZX5 or TLR 22.4, i asked him and he said ZX5 is closest to the avaible 2.4 wheel.

that would be cool,id buy a few, have a couple xb4 cars and they both have had the same issue a few times, its a pita to switch them out. ive never broke a tower so they are deff not the weak link. with the reinforcement of the 16 on the back side and this type reinforcement on the front side, would be really bullet proof. when will you have it back?

What track do you race at?
