for super low grip would you increase flex or put the motor rearward first?

We always run motor to the rear together with shorty battery no matter how loose.

For super loose we run medium chassis braces with medium side guards, slipper, ball diffs front and rear and 1 dot springs.

So I know the DE 2.4/60mm (22-4) wheels fit with the 9mm/5.5 exotek 12mm conversion... what about 2.2 wheels? I wanted to try the proline holeshots (are they good on both dirt and clay?). Obviously xrays will work? Will proline velocity wheels or DE 2.2's for dex410 or B44 work?

Does anyone happen to have a list of 12mm wheels that will work (2.2 & 2.4)? I feel like I ask this question often. (whenever I want to try something new). Or do people just figure out what fits by trial and error?

If it's very slippery clay holeshots might work. You should just use DE Racing 2.2 wheels, i plan to.

DE 2.2 for which brand rc? Durango, associated or doesn't it matter? I like the DE wheels. I use them on my 1/8 buggy
But holeshots are real good on outdoor loose right? I have never used them before.

You want Kyosho front wheels not 22-4. The 22-4 are wider offset and will require a hex around 4.5mm thick to be right.

I use a Tekin RSX with a 8.5, 21T pinion and about 5* degrees of boost on a medium length back straight... without a fan. I just put a fan on, so probably go to a 24T.

Anywhere in that range is a good starting point probably.

I think we need to build a wheel database for the conversion...

I am running the XRAY +0.75 in the front with AKA EVO TLR 22-4 wheels and have a track width of ~245mm when subtracting the thickness of the tire side walls. With the XRAY +1.5 in the rear and AKA EVO rear wheels (subtracting side walls), I also have a track width of 245MM. Ride height at 22mm.

So I just put the 1.6/1.7 piston combo in my car w/ 650 fr and 550 rr.... the car feels really soft... and much softer than my B5M 2wd. Anyone have a more realistic combination for medium bite clay? I'm thinking something like 750 fr / 650 rr. BTW, I typically like my cars stiff and driving like a touring car.

I just did the same and used 600/450 and my car feels about right for the low bite I'll be racing on. I used the kit 2 hole pistons and opened up the holes with drills. If I was going to a med or high bite track I would probably go up in cst

I really wish people would know te information they give is correct before posting an answer to someones question. I was told 22-4 would give me the correct width with 5.5 hexes. So if I'm understanding you correctly with what I have now (22-4) front and rear my front is going to be 2mm wider than in the rear? Is that necessarily a bad thing? Those are the only wheels I have currently and was planning on racing Saturday. So idk if I should glue up the tires and run as is or if I skip a race and order the kyosho fronts. You do mean DE speedline kyosho 2.4/60mm wheels is what I want right?
And what about my rear? I have 22-4 rears with exotek 9mm. Is that even correct?

We deff need a chart of what wheels work with 12mm conversions to get you back to the stock track width. I'm sure a lot of ppl would find that very helpful.

Well last night I tried put 7,100,5 as well as 2x1.6 and 2x1.7's in the shocks as well as moving the ballstud to the forward hole of the steering plate and WOW the car was 10x better. Handles the bumps better and felt like it accelerated more linearly. We are still in between tires at the track and I made the wrong choice in the the main, but the car was still able to best hot laps I had set earlier in the day because of how easy it is to drive. Didnt get hotlap for the field but atleast another xray did. Now I just need to focus on my driving and making fine adjustments to the car, I am very happy with how it feels
