Just move spacers.

Last weekend first run without rear brace and front brace but had a top deck brace with 3mm chassis very easy to drive a consistent lot of traction. My local track hard pack with blue grove running sweep slick tires.

Is there any way to still use the body mounts with the new graphite chassis braces?

You can use any type of o ring you like, it doesn't t have to be the XRAY ones.

Fuel tubing works well, but I use some of Durango's moulded rubber stoppers on mine, find them more sturdy then normal o rings.

You already have the part to mount the rear body mount and you will need 361173 to mount the front one or you can do as i do and use velcro to hold the body at the front.

Does that part come with a spacer to raise part #361165 in the front where the upper deck used to be?

The link I posted above shows what comes with the #368173 x brace.

To answer your questions, yes the spacer you need to raise the #361165 does come with the x brace. it also includes the silver spacers that make the x brace align properly with the front bulkhead.

Like others have mentioned, Xray really should have at least noted to anyone buying the 361168/9 that you need to also buy the 368173 to have all the necessary parts to use the chassis braces.

It comes in bag 9 where the misc parts are located. It is part #361184. It's the part that allows you to run to rear top deck and still have a hole for the body mount.

Anyone thinking of getting the Spec-R swing axles, I highly DON'T recommend it. They snap at the inside thread easily. They seem to be too brittle. I'm a clean driver and downside every jump. Had TWO yesterday break. Landed our triple perfect, snap! The only reason I tried them was I had two stock ones break at the ball. And since they are completely out of stock everywhere, needed something as replacement.

The swing axle concept is awesome for this buggy and I do wish Hudy would look into making some quality items for this car as that's what it needs. It gets rid of all chatter when steering lock to lock and just takes the stress out of this area.

Just my .02

Good to know they were going to be my nxt purchase. Ive also been considering the alloy hubs n spindles as ive broken a few and the two always go at the same time. Id rather change an arm then the hub n spindle. Anyone else run the alloy front hubs n spindles? Spec R spindles have been on back order for some time. I did run out of 9 d front hubs and went to the 6d and i kinda like it. . Had to turn dwn the dual rate for steering to control it better as it can be twitchy.

What seems to be the popular setup for indoor as a good starting point. I did some practicing last weekend in stock form with the center diff and the car was decent. My diffs are 8k front 100k center and 8k rear. Was running saddles and it was planted. Thinking about trying the shorty . I was running a 44.3 and that car was just to aggressive. And this car is much more stable but need it to be a little more aggressive
