That is a great deal! Over $100 less than I paid for mine less than a month ago. I don't regret it though.

Amain puts the kit on sale for $20 off but then you can't use any of the promotions and the sale ends up more expensive. Wish I knew about Discount RC yesterday!

Just curious, what is everyone running for shock caps nowadays? Stock plastic, aluminum caps from Exoteck or Xray? I know Spec R have some as well as DHawk. My shocks squeak and it's either from air getting in the bottom, or a bad seal on top. I got rid of the Traxxas ones I tried and put my old stock ones back in, I have new ones ordered to replace the stock orings soon. I noticed the same squeak with my B5m and actually switching back to plastic caps was a better seal....does anyone know what Factory drivers run? I see some photos with stock plastic, but not sure....do they replace them a lot, the bleeder screw hole rounds out fairly easily if I remember.

...and for those helping me and my rear traction issue, thanks for the tips. I am going to try and run with my set up as is, but 100k in the center diff, 3 dot springs up front and hubs forward Wednesday night. Will report back on my findings, I hope for more traction. Major jump in temperature as well so the experiment will be under better conditions.

I've had both my fronts crack and have heard others with the same problems. I prefer JC wheels as they seem to be the brightest whites but haven't ran them on the xray yet as I stocked up on xray sets when I bought it

I'm still using the plastic ones that came in my 2013 kit, haven't changed one part on the shocks other then Pistons since I built them & don't have any problems with leaking or air getting in.

Original '13 plastics as well. I do run a bead of black grease on the threads though.

The JC wheels I have are a blueish white, the TRL wheels i have are greenish white. and AE and DE wheels are they only ones I've tried yet that are truly white.

My JC wheels also fit very tight to the JC hex's I have on my buggy, to wear i feel like in going to crack them or strip them due to having to use the wheel nut to get them all the way on.

Hello Heavy,

I use Xray Aluminum shock caps. Thus I put a little Green Slime over the shock cap bushing as well around the shock barrel threads. In conjunction with RDRP orings I have no issues.
I am running 200K in my center diff and it is very very sweet, thus I am running on a hard packed but loose track. I find the 200k center perfect as you can drive aggressive and still control of the buggy. I would try 200K before dropping all the way down to 100K. Thats just my thoughts as I have found 200k to work primo compared to higher than and lower than 200K. I run my hubs forward as well and am running 3 dots up front.

I only have 1M, 500k and 100k, but I have 200k and 300k coming in the mail. I'll only make a few changes at a time. To complicate matters, for the better, the temperature has gone from 55F to nearly 90F since last week!

I run stock plastics on all 3 of my xb4's and only ever replaced one. My fault of course.
