Shock oil can be had everywhere. Personaly I run the AE oils because let's face it, they are in every LHS and Lucas makes great stuff for regular cars and the AE oils are fantastic IMHO.

+1 I like to say I don't run AE oils, but that I run Lucas Oils.

+1 on AE oils aka Lucas. Lucas makes great products. I also like Yoshi oils (Kyosho) little pricey but well worth it.

Anyone have a outdoor setup in medium traction at best using a shorty? Also anyone have the part number for the exotek 12mm conversion?

All ready for the WA State Title this weekend. For once, I'm not rebuilding my car the night before the event.

I ran my '14 XB for the second race and it is coming along, we have a high grip clay mix track, so M4 slicks are the goto tire. I need more rotation, right now if I hammer the throttle it will break loose, but not in a controlled manner, so I am looking for off power turn in. I have 10/5k in the diffs, I set the slipper loose, I have 2 dot springs f/r F middle on tower, out on arms, R: in on tower, out on arms. and I removed the sway bars. Someone recommended 8/3 in the diffs, I can try that, I also want to figure out if my shock package is in the ball park. It came with a 4 hole avid setup, I have to check the bag, but there are 2 small and 2 larger holes, and 32/30 oil.

I forget the link locations exactly, I know I am back hole on the rack with no shim, and stock shim on the knuckle because it looked to have a lot of bump steer with both shims in. Rear hangers are brass +2 centered with 3 toe.

I was running 8/5 at RCE, and she handled good, and I could slide into/around a corner if I wanted to. VERY controllable. And my slipper is on the tight side. I can't help you on the rest, as I don't have my car in front of me.

Hey Mike,

I would definitely, definitely give this set-up a try. I think the biggest changes will be the shock springs, but I think this will really help your car out.

Anyone have a nice set-up for med sized, hard packed(dirt-outside track) surface= "outside smooth" if that makes sense. It's technical combined with nice speed strait and good sized sweeper. med bite this time of year.
