Got to drive my xb4 yesterday, its got kit setup as far as I can tell, need to verify the diff oils from my friend, but I like it alot, steers a lot more than my 44.2 could ever hope too. I ended up bending the FF holder, are there any fixes or options on that, I don't know that I want to run a bumper.

This is exactly why we (Xray Factory Team) recommend higher viscosity diff grease in the center differential.

A thinner setup may feel easier and more forgiving to drive and might be the ticket for inexperienced drivers getting used to a new car or upgrade in power (lower turn motor) but it is just too slow and inconsistent when you are pushing and going fast.

We've been testing the center diff for the last 3/4 of a year ever since we started running it in the 2014 model with a revised chassis with saddle layout.

Every single test done have always shown the same result. The center diff with thinner oils feels easier to drive but are always slower.

If you think about it it makes perfect sense.
The slippers we've always been running on 1/10 wheelers are practically a locked diff and it has worked brilliantly for years.
Even running the XB4 center diff with 2.000.000 cst diff grease gives you a ton of diff action.

We always carry 4 ready built center diffs with us to races and practice with 2.000.000, 1.000.000, 500.000 and 300.000 cst so we can test back to back (4 screws to change center diff) and determine what gives the best results.

Our go to weights are 1.000.000 and 500.000 for high/med and med/low grip.

If the grip is really high (carpet with pins) we run the slipper as it is faster and for really low grip we usually run 500.000cst with the occasional test of 300.000.

Interestingly most of the guys knocking on the higher diff oils haven't even tried them as opposed to the team running these setups for almost a year now in testing and racing.

PS! 1.000.000 cst once again gave us enough grip and corner speed to lower the personal best time and lap record at our Nordic Championship track

On high grip surfaces like carpet we still run the slipper as it is faster

Broken where the dogbone contacts the outdrive on up travel.

Are you referring to slipper or gear diff..

Gear diff, No..

Slipper will fit if you drill the center larger and trim your pads.

Thicker and the 15 doesn't have the lowest camber link holes.

Picked up a 15 slipper full assembly off ebay can it be used in my 14 basically without using the long outdrive / shaft part?

Thanks to all those for seemingly taking the lead on this. Looks like Xray has finally looked into it and is making corrections.
Ok, it's been well over a month. Has anyone gotten their replacement suspension holder yet?

Not me. Received a reply e-mail from RC America acknowledging that they would send one as soon as they are available... nothing but crickets ever since.
