Here is a fix.

Use the brass hanger and drill a new hole in the center of it. Then drill a new hole in the rear bulkhead so the hanger is centralized.

Elongate the standard mounting holes to allow for the re-centering of the hanger. If you turn the hanger around then you won’t need to use the counter sunk screws, you can use button head screws to attach it.

I think it may work.

It would probably work but you would need a mill to do it correctly. Personally I would rather run offset bushings until someone makes one THE CORRECT WAY XRAY!!!!!!! Lol. Sorry it's my touretts kicking in. 😆

In theory it would work, but drilling it with enough accuracy, in even your above average home garage, without precision machinery, would be tricky, I'll wait for a better route and run mismatched inserts until something better comes up, or maybe choose another kit to buy.

Besides, I paid $450 for a brand new kit in confidence that it was manufactured with accurate tolerances, under the assumption that if it wasn't the company would resolve it(like any reputable company), there's no way I'm giving them another $62 for the brass part so I can butcher it on a drill press to make up for their lack of accountability.

Must be some smart people at XRAY. If they claim everything is the way it is supposed to be, then they should post some photos on here with measuring tools showing that both sides have equal toe individually (not combined as measured with a HUDY setup station), similar as to how others on here have demonstrated that the toe IS NOT equal side to side.

I too am disappointed that XRAY is not actively addressing this situation, yet claim to be the luxury RC car manufacturer with the best manufacturing equipment and attention to detail.

Unfortunately people will continue to buy their products just because of that reason alone. (luxury RC)

For the most part, XRAY kits are top notch. They go together well, and really do have outstanding quality (but I have had the same experience with recent YOKOMO and Serpent kits I have built). But XRAY needs to step up, own this issue, and provide a solution to their customers.

I can make cad files of the hangers if I can get the measurements, I only have the '14 hangers so ill start measuring and drawing that one on lunch today. If rcgod or someone else can get me the measurements of the +2 hanger I'll draw that one up too.

Wasn't there an issue with a previous Xray vehicle that they addressed by sending out a free upgrade kit?

Edit: Found it: http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/new...f6647c8089dddd

My point is if it's a real issue they will address it, however looking at their response up to now they don't appear to believe it's a real issue.
