Thanks for that write up RCG, it'll be interesting to see how well the CA holds up or if it breaks down and develops slop. I'm going to tear into my '13 tonight to see where it's at.

Sweet!!! Great idea and one that looks fairly quick and simple. You da man! No! you da RCGOD!!! I appreciate the time you have spent in pointing this issue out and doing so in thoroughly reviewing all the other possibilities that could have presented this issue. Your diligence has provided an accurate diagnosis, which you gifted wrapped in creating a nice solution. Much thanks to the others that brought attention to this as well as thoroughly reviewing all possibilities.
Thanks to all involved as my excitement to build my XB4 has been restored.

I took a look at a couple '14 cars at the track today, visually it appeared they had uneven toe as well.........

On this week's episode of "Pimp My Ride"............

Raced today with center diff/300k, .5 deg out on left rear to even it up, felt pretty good. Also went with 2 dot/1 dot springs, (shorty build), will be trying progressives next week.

Thanks for the props guys on the fix. Glad to help. I used CA because it's all I had and was short on time. Epoxy would be better I'm sure and last longer.

Makes me wonder how badly this affects the 2 wheel buggy since it uses the same parts. My friend noticed my 4 wheel kicking out on power, but I didn't when driving it. On a 2 wheel buggy it could really cause problems.

Also, why does it seem that nobody found this with the 2014 rear hinge plates?
And why does one outdrive protrude father than the other in a diff that was designed to be run either direction?
thanks.
It is suggested to use an o-ring as a back stop on the shock shaft above the collar of the ball joint. With this setting the drive shaft will not get in contact with diff outdrive.

In case the suspension has large uptravel it is suggested to use the outer positions on the suspension holders which will ensure that the drive shafts will not get into contact with diff outdrive.

If you read about my issue that I posted earlier on, or on the Xray forum, it is very different than the issue that o-rings would solve. It happens when the shocks are not even on the car, and it is the pin of the dogbone bottoming into the slot of the outdrive when the pins go vertical, not the shaft hitting the outdrive cup. It happens when the inserts are in any position farther inside than zero, and nobody else has been able to replicate it with their kit. It seems something is out of spec, but we could not figure out what when I spent time on the phone with RCAmerica. The chassis will not even get within about 8mm of the ground when the inserts are in that position and the dogbone pins are vertical.
Go back to post 3675 for some pics

Is Xray going to do anything for the 15 customers who have to use a .5 insert and a 0 insert on the RR hinge pin brace to get even toe on the rear ? This cannot
be how the buggy was designed.

@Kevin, is there a chance that your gear diff out drives are not deep enough? Looking at the '15 manual, those out drives are part number 364960, but the out drives for the new center diff are 364970, I am not sure how they are different, but perhaps they are not as shallow, and you got a set of them mistakenly? Just a thought. Perhaps a measurement of the out drives from end to the inside of the cup. Your issue is still making me shake my head and I need it resolved, lol.

Thanks for the support and presence. (Sarcasm)

Jorn Neumann was there and technically he isn't even on a team.

(...yes, a past champ automatically gets invited, but c'mon!)
