I think it would be wise to offer both the center gear diff and slipper options in the same kit.

Tis why I have my eye on the SB401, but I LOVE the XB4 just as much as my 410. Thus far, equally the best 2 wheelers I've run. The 2015 XB4 will continue X-ray's trend of excellence.

Wonder if the upgrades they are making on the 2015 edition will be backwards compatible on my 2014....

If xray puts all of the option in the box....no one will be able to afford the car

Luxury my ass. Even their luxury tools are Chinese bought for dirt cheap and marked up a gazillion %. Lol

Wildcat, I did say "Include" and did not mention price hike. Lol. If that "other" car can offer it, so too can Xray.

my money is on a center gear diff, alum cvd cups, alum servo mounts, and alum shock caps and spring cups.... maybe steel gears. BUT I sure hope they have a shorty pack chassis.

If I had to guess, I'd say the '15 will have all these things EXCEPT the shorty option.

This is solely based on my hunch and the picture of the prototype center diff posted about 20 pages or so back. I have zero inside information and could be completely wrong.

^^ that is what I was hinting about^^

about 4-5 new items on the '15 car but its not going to have the shorty pack... BUT it really needs that option

Aaahhh…..the ignorance

All parts including their tools are machined in-house at the Factory in Slovakia, Europe.

We've been to the factory and watched the machines and production first hand.
My daughter has even been posing in front of and on the very machines they use for her promotion pictures

One thing they have had to do outside the factory is the heat treatment of various parts.
But they have now just recently invested in their own heat treatment equipment as well.
They tirelessly continue towards 100% in-house manufacturing

Quote:
Xray, Hudy, FX Engines:
Great news for all XRAY customers…Xray continue not only to increase production capacity but also to get fully independent.
From now onwards we will make all the heat treatment for FX crankshafts in-house.
This is also where all the HUDY tool tips will be heat treated to ensure the highest quality from batch to batch.

Juraj Hudy: The investment into new technologies continues and we keep our bank happy After ongoing issues with delivery times and the quality of heat treatment from our supplier we have decided to be fully independent and to get our own heat treatment technology. With the own in-house heat treatment technology we can guarantee the highest quality from batch to batch and of course much higher flexibility and improved production times.

It took several months to study various technologies as we had to consider first of all our very own unique heat treatment procedure that I have developed some decades ago to specially treat our unique custom produced steel materials.

To fit the technology in-house we had also to extend the production hall which required to build a new hall. Now everything is finished and the first part of the heat treatment technology arrived. New adventure for us but I am very excited that we will move the production flexibility once again a step further.

Don't forget this gem as well, probably optimised in slovakia as well
http://www.neobuggy.net/2011/08/25/x...ve-shaft-boot/

The other other car (hint my sig), had the metal parts out almost in a couple months after launch lolz albeit for an extra 100 ( but im still on plastic diffs in that and no damage yet).

Hope xray include the metal gears at least around the same price for us having to pay from our pocket. Shorty IMHO is not absolutely required to make this car work, but maybe they will include some harder plastic arm options (from the xb8 material mix) for people now running carbon stiffeners.

If you are thinking of the pins on the diff/slipper side of the shafts then the part number is: #106051

The Hudy Drive Pin Replacement Tool is part #106000
