The composite chassis frame is identical between the 2wd and 4wd version. The 4wd however, is delivered with the under gearbox plastic shim.

The alu chassis part is similar but different. The 2wd has more front kick-up and has multiple mounting holes to be able to position the servo in different positions longitudinally in the car.

Regarding servo mounting I always position everything in the car loosely tightened so that everything is positioned correctly before I tighten down the screws between the servo mount and the servo ears. I stick to this practice in any car since there are some differences regarding size between different servo makes.

Hope this helps.

If you ripped a swervo out of it's mounts then 1 or 2 mm is not your problem. My servo has been moved back and new holes were drilled that are not perfectly aligned. If it were something that needed precision I would have busted out the dykem blue but it's just a servo mount. Been running like that for 2 years.

Broke another upper deck on my XB4, that makes two since January. Both of them broke right where the front body post mounts, seems like the obvious weak point of the brace. Are there any options out there without the hole drilled for the body mount?

I know the short answer is "stop lawn darting into the face of a jump", sometimes things happen.

If there was a little more clearance between the bottom of the brace and the steering rack you could use a buttonhead and a wide washer to beef it up. Maybe raise the front of the brace with shims, just enough to washer the post. Or take a broken one and fab a brace on top.

My initial thought was to use a piece of the broken deck to make a brace but I like idea of using a washer to beef it up a bit. Thanks.

I run the 2 screws into the diff case tight then back off just a bit. It allows the top deck a little movement.

Get the one on eBay that goes from the front all the way to the back.

For those which are fed up with heavy chassis, give a chance to this configuration

Drove the XB4 for the first time this weekend. I ran into walls and rails and beat this thing up and broke nothing This thing is a tank!! My old TD would have crumbled!!

However, the car is nose diving in the front end. Should I add weight to the rear? I run in a indoor clay track.

Stay off the brakes when in the air? If you're not on the brakes are you running drag brake? If so either turn the drag brake down/off or blip the throttle a bit while in the air.

Nice work! looks pro grade. Can you post pictures of the holes beneath? I would love to try this weight distribution. I shaved around 100 grams by using soft saddle packs and the car handles much much better now (1610 gram rtr) how much is this one?

I'd like to see a top deck without the hole for the body mount. A quick email could probably solve that.
