Default Tekin RSX Help?!?

So my electronics finally arrived and I should be able to get this buggy ready by Sat for the last indoor event of the season an my local track (before he turns into an oval for Summer). Anyhow I would really appreciate any pics of a Tekinn RSX installed into an XB4, I'm hoping to avoid any regrets after I start slinging solder.

Thanks,

My wires are long because i have diff lipo with opposite sides of polarity, so i loop them back for my race packs

Does she do any of her own maintenance yet?
I had my 8 yr old build some diffs with me a cpl times
Sad to say he was pretty good but lost interest, waking him up early was tough on him and the long drives
Congrats on the sponsorship ?:@)

Wow... anyone else breaking their graphite front upper deck? That's 2 for me now, they both broke exactly where the front body mount post screw passes through. When they break, they look like the layers of graphite de-laminate.

I installed my electronics tonight in my new to me XB4 and have to say I'm very happy with the initial shakedown test down the driveway/road. I'll have a better idea tomorrow my local track; can't wait....

Great job! I've watched some if your videos and she's a hell of a driver, especially for her age. Some major god given ability there. She sticks with it she may be the first female world champ.

I have broke one but it took a very hard hit into a 2x4 rail nose 1st at nearly full throttle when I didn't line up the jump properly. They're high too! Xray needs to make the replacement parts a little less costly to the drivers! My only complaint about this buggy.

Just broke one the other night, same exact location as you and yeah it looked like it delaminated.

I did.

But I don't think it adds any strength to the part, it just keeps the edges from fraying.

Does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket (Team SR)4mm towers, I am looking to buy a set for back up. I read that X ray didn't recommend them as they don't flex enough and could cause a diff case to break, although a diff case is about $20 cheaper than a replacement shock tower from my calculations.

i find the stock towers from the 2014 pretty good, i have broken a lot things but the towers are still there! As for the bulkhead, i stoped breaking mine after installing a reinforcement.

I have those reinforcements on my car already, but I'm starting to build a spares kit as my track/local hobby store don't stock any XRAY parts. I'm hoping to have the right spares on hand should something happen on a race day so I can continue running and figured the towers should be on the list.

On another note how durable are the axles and drive shafts, should they be on my list of spares, I already have spare pins and a tool to replace them.

Thanks,

Keep spare pins, the cvd barrel, and upgrade the aluminum covers. Other than that, get some arms, arm mount inserts, and wing mounts.
