Yes the 2014 arms will work on the 2013 car. You will just need to add shims as the arms are narrower in width to allow for more wheelbase adjustment.

I ran my 2013 indoors the other day for the second time and really liked it. But, I have had 3 people that used to own xb4 mention the shocks were garbage. Mine seemed to be a good buggy , can anyone clue me into why they are thinking that ? I can't seem to find any real issues searching ....

Shocks are fine now.
The caps used to leak and you had to buy optional o-rings to fix it (included in current kits). The Xb4 shocks are smooth and very durable but maybe not as refined as say a Kyosho but not many shocks are

Only issue I've had with my shocks has been them loading up with air pressure even though I built them with 0 rebound. Other then that they've been just fine.

According to the exploded view for the NT1, the part number is 335080. BTW, thanks for the input.

These are the ones I was referring to. Those are the right pins though.
I myself have not had an issue with the diff gears but I know people that have so I just keep an extra set with me.

have gotten a used XB4 that had been well taken care of lovingly...

have cleaned, rebuilt the diff and shocks... i realize that the shocks are always loading with air even at 0 rebound, as described. and end up, i always have around 25% rebound.

anyway to solve this? maybe a swap of other brands o-rings?

I usually just burp the air off about every other race weekend without any issues.
I love my xray! First 4wd buggy and first buggy for that matter! I'm a novice racer at best and a close friend who is far better at racing then I has had alot of trouble out of his xray but im sure his issues are driver related lol!

noted on the shocks...

anyone notice that the center spur/ slipper assembly had abit of free play? i had to shim in 0.3mm shims to minimise the free play, as i'm worried that the free play might cause the spur to strip..

how about the tsr racing rubber boots for the cvd's. i have them on mine and my stock cvd's are doing fine.and they come with a metal ring to help hold the pin in just in case.seems the only way to have grease on the cvd and keep dirt out.

Both my XB4s had play front to back with the spur. I added a shim in the rear and have been fine.

Been running my 2014 XB4 for about a month now and have had zero issues with the shocks or the CVD cups for that matter.

Can anyone direct me to the parts I need to complete the rear end to 2014 spec. Don't really want to modify anything if I don't have to but that being said a whole new chassis is not really an option either. Thanks in Advance Joe
