Yep……nothing wrong with HeavyD99's approach

My remark was aimed at the constant reference to this being a "problem", when it's just a lack of maintenance from those experiencing this.

Potensial buyers and current owners new to this are getting the impression that they need to go out and buy parts to get rid of the "problem" when all they need to do is just regular maintenance

The 2mm shim is addressed in the 2014 addendum. Here's a downloadable version:

http://www.teamxray.com/xb4/download...tary_sheet.pdf

The rear hub 2mm spacer is addressed on page 19 of the 2014 manual. stock position would be for long wheelbase, placing the shim in front of the hub.

I read the manual but looking at the setup sheets online it does not mention where the shim goes?

The shim position is referenced on the 2014 setup sheets in the second section down on the far right of the page.... wheelbase shim position. If there's nothing noted, I would assume that it is unchanged from factory setup.

To understand if the setup has the 0 mm crossed off does that mean the shim goes behind hub

so how do you like the xb4 2014 compare to 2013 or others chassis? be honest is it fragile
I sold my Yokomo bmax4 III i didn't like it it doesn't work on our indoor track wet low medium traction... I could't wait the HB D413
I know those AE b44.2 work fine but Its fragile I want something else
I thinking about the durango v4 or xb4 2014 not sure what's is the best overall performance ,reliability...ect
thanks

Good question!! My guess would be that the 0mm would reference removal from the position shown and placed in the rear of the hub... but that would be a guess!! Best thing to do is try either postition and see what works best for you - other racer's setups are always good starting point, nothing more nothing less.

Does anyone know if the durango rims will work on the 2014, or are they the wrong offset?

I run them. Had to drill the holes though (dex steps down to 4mm for spindle). Never checked the offset, to be honest with you.

Not having any kinds of issues though.

If I think about it, I will measure offsets today.

You have to drill the holes and I think the offset is out by about 1mm. The xray rims fill out the foams better than the TD ones, I think the plastic is thicker or a larger diameter

Is XRay no longer offering the metal gear package alone?
I know the part # is 335030. Have looked several places with no luck.
