This could revitalize 4wd in areas where numbers are low.
I saw a recent interview where Reno Savoya (generally a nitro 1/8 driver) is looking to race the XB4. Not quite the on-road to off-road shift you mentioned, but same idea.

I myself want to drive one because this thing looks exactly like a scaled down 1/8 buggy. Gear diffs, shaft driven, similar suspension and steering mechanism...

Regarding gearing:

If we assume that the only choices for spur gears is an 81 or an 84, and if we assume (from the parts list) that the only pinions that fit are from 18 to 23, then we get the chart attached below.

Note: The red number is the internal gear ratio of the transmission. The "novak" and "lrp" columns are just a baseline recommended FDR for particular motors in 1/10 4WD. The XB4 exploded view suggests a 23 pinion with the stock 81 spur so it looks like they are suggesting an 8.5T motor.

I'm going to assume there is more room available for larger pinion gears, but I won't know for sure until I have the kit or someone from Xray talks to us. (You would think they would talk about gearing in the manual.)

I'm an onroad guy who wants to race offroad. And this seems to be the closest thing to a 4wd sedan. I'll be preordering one.

Default Camber links in manual?

The manual shows the camber links turning opposing directions, left and right sides of the car turn different directions to lengthen. I've always mounted my links so the natural thread is on the left side of the car. How does XRAY do the turnbuckles on their other cars?

I believe that the manuals on all of the cars has recommended having the adjustment flats on the outside for ease of access and adjustment...

Personally, I have always built my cars with the threads pointing to the front of the car ////--------\\\\ for the consistency of knowing what to change quickly without needing to think about it...

Can't wait to get my hands on mine. Pre ordered, so I'm hoping I get one from the first batch and don't have to wait for a restock.
