Default Shuur speed 13.5 in sc10 gearing help

So I am going to run my schur speed 13.5 in my ft sc10. Need some help with a starting gearing point for a medium to large sized 1/8 scale track that is outdoor and dusty dry with medium to little traction. Been looking around for over an hour and haven't found anything so far. Thanks for your help.

Start with 84/27. Watch temps and also will depend on how much boost you will be adding

OK, sounds good to me. Not gonna run a lot of boost till night time when the track grooves up and holds moisture. Gonna stay at about 20° of timing though. Thanks a lot man.

1st heat: 161° after 7 laps, 5:01 no boost, 20° timing, 84/27

2nd heat: TQ 168° after 8 laps, 5:13, no boost, 20° timing, 84/27

Amain: dnf, 4th, 268° after 15 laps, made it 10 mins and stopped on last lap with 1/4 lap left to go. Got hit by a lapped truck and pulled 2 wires (b & c) off motor... all he did was laugh and thought it was funny.. now I get to buy another motor, pretty sure this one is done for...

Anyone know if shuur speed will do a replacement like other people do? I.e like a discounted price type deal?

Sounds like there is some further setup required. Possibly adding timing and/or another look at gearing. More information will help.

Yes SchuurSpeed has this policy in place, $49 and you cover shipping.

It was running 160-170 after 5 mins and you kept the gearing the same for a 10 min race? Should go down a tooth or 2 for the main to keep temps under control

Adding timing would help you say...? Please elaborate sir...
Also, buddy said that the wires coming off could have caused it...
Sweet. The best thing I've heard today, lol

I thought the same thing but my reedy 13.5 would be at 160-170 no matter how long the race.
