15 ZX Engine
My mate has an old Image Victra that hes just dug out of the loft. We are having problems getting it running though, we can get it to idle but as soon as thottle is applied it dies. Not being an expert in this field I wondered if anyone could offer any advice, default settings for the engine would be nice although I susspect thats asking a lot due to the age of the car.
thanks

first thing i'd do is replace all the fuel tubing (make sure you use high quality silicone tubing you get from your local hobby shop)
next, find out what the standard needle settings are for that particular engine.
if you can't find it, try 3 1/2 turns out on the high speed needle, and 3 turns out on the low speed.
also, make SURE you go buy a NEW glow plug and NEW fuel.
if that doesn't work, pm or email me

better too rich than too lean.
if it'll idle, it's rich enough. it's a good baseline setting for breakin or just getting it fired up.

Don't know anything about the 15 ZX engine but T-Birds suggestions are a great start.
