Anyone Use Nova Racing Aluminum Clutch Shoes? pic
thinking about getting some of these clutch shoes. i have the towers and love them dearly. anyone use these and if so how does the holes in the shoes work.
which set screw holes to use for what type of engagement? can someone give me a thorough of how these are set-up for quick/late engaging hard slamming wheelie take offs smooth and quick pick-up? http://www.novarcproducts.com/images...oes3Medium.jpg seems to be the nicest ones around as i can find. |
Those look like nice shoes. For the ealiest engagement (less hit when clutch kicks in) I'd think you could run a big and little set screw both in there. To fine tune the clutch, you could would take out pegs until you get it how you like. Say take the little pegs out first for a little later engagement. The more weight the shoes have, the earlier they'll kick in. For hardest or wheelie hit, use none of the screws. I'm sure those use a spring also, so that is another way to tune them by how strong the spring is.
Got a link to where those are sold? |
I have a feeling that those would eat up the clutch bell super fast! Looks tight though!

Aluminum shoes do wear a groove into the CB, but they won't "wear it out" any faster than carbon shoes will.
