The only issue left is width. As far as I am aware, there has not been any determination for that yet. But then again, the width issue really only applies where ROAR rules are strictly adhered to.
What width does a converted RC8.2e have when fitted with the DE wheels?

If it's close, is there a way to get a negative offset wheel?

NVM, that thread you linked is the cat's meow. Thanks!

Everything you need is there. I also have the SNR towers, TB racing bumpers, and thin hubs...everything you need for this conversion. PM if interested in a deal

How much is it worth to you to run an AE sticker on your car? I don't think either solution is going to be competitive on 2s lipo.

Sell both. Get the Techno SCT. Put some Associated stickers on it. Problem solved.

hahahahaha...tell that to the 8th scale e bugs I beat last weekend.

There was only 2 of us in 4x4SC so we were combined with the e bugs and I took 3rd out of 9 cars, I was on the same lap as the leaders, and I wasnt lacking for power anywhere.

Tekin RX8, RevTech 4800kv 4 pole motor with an HVR 7000mah 50c 2s pack.

Haha.

Bring that jalopy up here, where there's a A & B main every weekend and give it a shot. If you can win up here, then I'll give that heavy car some props.

I wouldn't dump more than $200 into a AE, when the Techo is $400, and the Losi's will be selling used for next to nothing soon.

I'm going to assume you run a little tight track up there since you put so much emphasis on the weight aspect of this truck.
Yes, shes a heavy pig...but she dont know it!
I agree the Tekno is going to be awesome, and had I known about it before I did this conversion, I probably wouldnt have done it.

Heres the track i'm running at.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Tekno products, been running their items for several years now. But please keep this thread on point.

Most of us who have done this conversion have done so prior to the Tekno SCT which is also an 8th scale conversion to SC albeit it be done from the factory. Do you currently run he SCT410? Are you a Tekno driver? My understanding is it's not out yet and only a few Tekno drivers in San Diego currently have the pleasure. And fyi my "heavy" "jalopy" weighs the same as Tekno's Stock version of their truck. And before you mention that it can be as light as 5 1/2 lbs also mention that it's an extra $119 option so your truck brings you a tune of about $520 before shipping fee.
I am greatly interested in the new truck and have posted so on that thread. But I can't rely on just Tekno word for it. I'll wait a month or so and see what public opinion is.

Honestly, I dont see the need for this thread anymore.
The SC10.2 thread covers everything, and is more comprehensive.
