Default In-car camera FPV glasses R/C car project: Kyosho & Epson Moverio

So my 9-5 day job is product development at Epson. I convinced our marketing guys that it would be a great idea to hook up our new Moverio transparent display glasses to a camera on an R/C car. I hit up Efrain at Kyosho, and we made it happen! The real improvement of Moverio over other setups is the transparency. You can still see through the FPV video image and drive the car from the 3rd-person perspective, like we're all used to.

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

We used a Rock Force crawler to keep things slow and controllable. I guess maybe we should put this in the Crawler forum, but I think this applies to any R/C, and this is the forum I hang out in most often! The IP camera was the easiest way for us to start streaming the video. We've already got a better camera and a faster vehicle in the works!

Does anyone have any experience with headtracking systems like Fatshark? Or any other options?

I don't know if this technology has much purpose for r/c racing, but I bet it could be very useful to the military for bomb bots and search missions.

Yah, it's definitely tougher, but the brain is amazingly adaptive. It's going to be fun once we get the video feed faster and strap it on a quicker vehicle!
