Rebuilding e buggys
How often do you guys rebuild your shocks and diffs etc on your 1/8 e buggys?

I rebuild the diffs about every 3rd/4th full day at the track. Sometimes even longer if I'm too busy. The shocks about the same, once a month maybe. That is, unless I see leaking, then I do it earlier. It depends on your track conditions too. Running outdoors in dusty conditions will mean rebuilding more often.

Every 3/4 weeks on the diffs and usually about every 2-3 weeks on the shocks for me.

I have to strip my car down every 2-3 race days depending on track conditions.
-remove, polish clean, lube all hinge pins
-check bone pins for wear, replace as needed.
-remove and grease bearings, replace as needed
-obviously the diffs come out to check my bearings and hinge pins, if the feel full I leave them be, but if they have 6 race days+ then it's mandatory to open them and chan ge the fluid.
-upside down car, do the shocks have an initial empty, easy moving spot. Squish sounds? No, leave them be.
Usually diff maintenance is not something I need to schedule. I change fluids to suit the track conditions at multiple tracks or as the weather changes. Weather changes drasticly in Ohio about every three weeks. So my shock fluid, and diff fluid is changed so often, it's no longer a maintenance item at all.
