Quick question regarding setup. I'm running rear motor on a low traction bumpy surface. What can I do to give me more initial turn in. I feel the car understeers on entry.
are you using UMW705 and UMW706? try adjusting your toe in or try a lighter front shock oil. Much better post your setup.

You can try shortening the rear wheelbase...you will get more initial turn in and some more traction
Just picked up a used rb5 and since the gearbox is same as the 6 what spur and pinion you guys run on 17.5t Blinky. Iam running a Tekin motor as well.

I would also try putting the screws back in the side pods. You may be getting too much torsional flex.
Or dial in some more drag brake and back off the throttle to get more oversteer on corner entry.

Do you just want faster response / initial turn-in or does the car also understeer mid-corner? Because generally getting faster turn-in will trade off grip mid-corner. Increasing front roll stiffness (springs, roll center height, shock position) or decreasing rear roll stiffness should get you faster turn-in, as would less front camber, longer rear or shorter front wheelbase, increased damping at the front shocks or lower front ride height. These changes may have a negative effect on mid-corner understeer however.

I think many used 33/69 with a 17.5. I would have to check the RB5 thread. It is a good read but long. I still have my RB5 and plan to also run 17.5 but I just haven't had the time.

Thanks guys. 69t spur ordered. at the moment I only have 76t and can only fit a maximum 29t pinion. Can I dremel the motor holes a tiny bit so I can squeeze in a 30-32 tooth pinion or would this stuff up the balance or might be too close to the motor cover which might not be good.

Anyone tried drilling holes on the inside of the rear arms yet?
