My RB6 in Mid-Motor. I ran it in rear motor this weekend but everyone I guess is now running mid. Funny while back I had my durango in mid motor and everyone made fun of it "Mid is only for Euro"... Who's the wise guy now

On the rear I put about 1/3 of a rear wing upside down to kinda cover up the area of the car that is exposed. I"ll have to do alittle bit better of a job on it next time...

Looks good but I would take that piece off. U want the motor to try as much air flow as possible.

I am using them on my latest setup, I really like the feel the provided. Seemed to give me the pack I was getting from the 4x1.3, but without the feel of being bouncy or too stiff.

You can view my setup on my website, with links to option parts used

I've tried them a few times against the 4x1.3s. For me and my track they were a little too stiff due to the initial pack being stiffer than the 4x1.3s. My track never has any larger jumps, so the extra pack wasn't needed and it made the car feel a bit twitchier.

In talking to Tebo he mentioned:

5 hole stock pistons for looser to medium bite
4x1.3s for medium to high
3x1.4 and 2x1.6 for relatively high bite tracks

i used these pistons for the first time lastnight, put them in after the first heat.. much better pack than the 4 hole, no slapping and better traction when landing a jump and turning on power. this is a setup that the associated guys run at my track and just works great for bb buggy shocks.

*4 hole avid pistons for sale

jason, i saw your blog... very helpful...how are you holding down your battery w/o the holder?

are all the carbon parts like shock towers, arms and knuckles necessary? does that affect the peformance greatly or would the stock parts suffice?

I am making a trip out to CA at the end of the month and plan to visit OCRC for a wed night club race.

thanks in advance...

Justin

If I may update on the 521-1 x new alum suspension hangers binding issue: I removed the 0.2mm shim, fresh hinge pins, and steel bushings. Now only the right rear arm binds slightly. After attaching the turnbuckle it's ok. Hopefully it's loosen up more after a few packs. Thanks the ideas. Cheers,

Have a link to the 5 hole piston?
