Finally decided to take my RB6 full circle to run sideways battery. I just cut the side pods previously to try it out and liked it so I decided to commit to it.
All milled out
Slight gap where I went a little too far cutting off the side pods
Battery fits perfect and sits right against where the side pods got cut, no movement side to side at all
Strap fits good now and doesnt have to be bent

I did the same with the side pods and put a small strip of gorilla tape on the grinder chassis and side pod. Makes it look so much better and doesn't stratch the battery!

I can try to take some pics, though they won't really show much.
Not sure if it really did much to the handling. I had made a couple of other changes this weekend, but I will say, I ran my fastest laps this weekend on our current layout. I didn't do anything with the wing position, could be something to play with however. I race on a fairly tight indoor track. Tire choice is M4 Primes.

has anyone tried to mount the rear shocks in the forward position with a mid motor setup? How will it affect the handling of the car?

I am wanting to try the sideways pack in my buggy. I am currently running the lightweight chassis and am concerned with milling the side of the chassis. Has anyone done this with the lightweight chassis? If so is there anything to look out for

It's not possible, the slippers fouls the rear shock.

Only thing I can think of is there could be too much chassis flex on the LW chassis. If you got a battery strap that could double as an upper brace for the chassis it might work. That was my worry with that chassis and why I opted to get a standard chassis that was mostly milled out for the sideways battery mod.

New to the rb6, I see the narrow and wide hangers listed on 1st page are discontinued and see some exotek and RDRP versions. Quick question, the RDRP version says you can adjust rear toe from 2°, 4° & 6° and the exotek is listed as narrow and wide. Are these the same adjustments just worded differently? Thanks.

Hey all. First time buyer of Kyosho and the RB6. Purchased one from EBay yesterday and was seeing if I need to order anything i.e. Spares, upgrades and anything else. Here are a few pictures. I am already planing on ordering the exotek front bulk head.

if anyone is interested i build my 17.5 car last week and i mounted the rear shock tower using 4, 2mm spacers to move the tower forward so that i could change the inner ballstud height. (losi allen driven ballstuds) this mod makes it so u do not need t disassemble the entire rear of the car to make a change. i also used 4, 2mm spacers to space the wing mount back so that its in its original position because i would be farther forward with the tower spaced forward. it held up fine and did not change the handling of the car much if at all. i dont find that i move that ballstud location often but i do like to be able to have that option open tome and anything that makes the car easier to tune is a upgrade in my opinion. hope everyone is loving their rb 6 as much as myself and good luck to all the red samurai drvers out there

RB6 Cross Brace
This is the battery brace and chassis stiffener developed with Tanner Day and Thomas Tran. It allows you to mill down your chassis to run a shorty sideways without making the chassis to weak.
