I'm sure this has been covered. I tried searching the thread didn't see all I was hoping. Would a rb6 be significantly better than an rb5 on an outdoor track? I have a chance to get one dirt cheap

It's not me offering these directly. Another guy is selling them. I just supply parts to him for a 3 gear conversion. Search for "3 gear conversion for the Kyosho RB6/RT6 mid motor" on facebook. But I can do the regular 4 gear cover direct.

A little late to the party it seems,
The 3gear is a go. Should be interesting

Well the first night/test of the 3gear mod was much better than I expected,
For me it was almost night and day better for,my local track. I'd call it a worthwhile mod for anyone to do. Might not be the absolute best setup all,the time, but a pretty valuable tuning aide when needed. I'll probably keep,it in for a while and see if I can get it a little bit better, but so far after some good practice packs and one night of racing, I like it.

So I ran the car this past weekend at the JConcepts Turf Nationals at RC Madness and I was extremely happy with how the car worked on astro. J Concepts debut thier new astro/carpet tire at this race and it was part of the handout class. So considering I never ran on astro or carpet and then had to adjust again yo the JC tires all in all it was a good weekend. I took 3rd in Mod buggy and 2nd in 4wd with the zx6. Cars were awesome all weekend.

Been putting in some time with getting the rear end to my liking with 3 gear. I felt like softening up the rear was best for me. I was able to drive it pretty hard which is huge for me.
Took 3rd in novice main (Saturday) my first time driving in the last 20 years lol. Mod class expert was running 17.4 laps and I was 20.5 average just couldn't deal with the traffic and getting smashed into by everyone else. Most of the class was SCT's too..
Car handled awesome, drove better then I could have wished for. I had to get my gearing figured out ended up running a 69/32 which was enough torque to keep me clearing the middle set of doubles after a sharp turn. Wish I had a bit more down the straight but you have to sacrifice somewhere right.
Gonna pick up a D4-1S, that should give me that little extra down the straight lol

I have two mid motor setup RB6 that I am learning to setup.
Is there a 'general' camber setting that I should start with. I've been looking at setup sheets and they seem to range from -2 up to 2.
I usually run on a small clay track (Tony's Hobbies) or OCRC.
Thanks in advance.

Positive camber? Maybe they just put 2 meaning -2. Now I'm curious as well.
I fought mine all night Saturday but kiddos car was more hooked. Hard slick track. His car is narrower in the rear and I still have the stock arm hangers. I think that was the biggest difference.
