Thanks,

So if I were to put more than 1mm under the rear hanger (trying pro squat) what would I need to do above the hanger? Otherwise I assume the rear shock tower and gearbox will be raised?

I acquired my used RB6 last week and had one practice session on it at my local track, OCRC. Last night I raced it in the Stock Sportsman Buggy class, we had two full heats of 12 racers. I qualified 6th in each heat, which put me in the 3rd spot for the B-main. I ended up winning the B-main and advanced to the A-main! Started 10th on the grid, finished 8th.

I could not have been happier with my RB6's performance! I dont race much so I was ecstatic with my results last night. It is set up rear motor and I was up against pretty much all mid motor AE, TLR, etc.

I don't think that the cranks flex enough that they really affect the steering response a lot but they do provide some flex in the steering so that the servo isn't taking too much punishment without the saver.

Having a ton of fun with my RB6. Took about a year off of the hobby to focus on my real racing, but really loving the RB6. Such a great, tunable, and quality car.

Been reading through the thread and learning a lot, thanks guys!

Yes, it is great! run a lot last summer, very little so far this winter, but again next summer with both mid and rear cars. I've dropped all other cars and classes, this is such great! I really enjoyed the rear setup on clay but will try running zack roger's rear setup outdoors, too. Have new motors and other electronics on both, just need buy a pile of rear tires to stay in the action. Which one do you guys prefer on loose dirt/clay, AKA or Proline ? Or some other? I was thinking of making an order from amain towards the season start for proline holeshots pre-glued on 2.2 wheel.

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as best pinion gear for all round track as there's no such thing as an all round track. Ask the guys that are running at your track first, given you should know what powerplant you are using and if they're not running the RB6, then figure out what gear ratio they're running and you can work it out from there

For those of you who have dabbled in the black magic that is Zach Roger's OCRC setup:

What would you do to gain a bit more rear side bite?

... and I've already been through the tire and sauce gauntlet to get everything I can out of that department.

Go in on the rear tower.

I am getting an estimate ok how much it would cost for a batch of the brackets. Depending on the estimate I will know how much to sell them if there's enough interest.

Thanks. The steering sleeve is supposed to reduce slop?

I may be interested if it's no more than $10. Otherwise my drilling skills will suffice.
Kevin, have you experimented with removing the motor guard screws in the chassis for more grip?

The brace is to prevent twisting under load from my understanding.

You can remove the screws from the waterfall to get more grip, it's a quick adjustment that you can definitely tell.
