I actually see it as a huge benefit that we can still use RB5 parts on this new kit. When Losi dropped the 22 there was almost zero interchangeability with the old XXX series.

Haha Tebo's setup is not the end all for highest speed. Its the fastest setup for his style of driving. There are a tonne of other pro setups which don't use any rb5 parts. Pros will often try those things out. Just drive the car stock and get a feel for it before ya get bummed out.

+10 drive a stock 6 and tell me it's not heads above the cars out there. They say the 5 arms free the car up in the rear but they every setup I've seen they're adding more toe to lock it back down. I bought the -1 arms but I'm so in love with how it handles now I won't make the change any any soon.
Only things I change are the tires, between m4 hole shot(low traction cold weather or in mornings for qual) or green 3ds/bar codes (for when the groove sets in or practice days right after they run nitro and the tracks oiled in) for the rears. The front worn in suburbs m4 work the best for me (tried hole shot m4 fronts did not like the steering too inconsistent for me).

When you flip the inserts around, hole closest to then center of the car it moves the caster blocks out. Flipping the insert moves the caster block the other way. So Tebo is running the hole farthest from the center of the car which narrows the front end but he is running the RB5 axles in the front with the wider hex than the stock piece so he is pushing the wheels back out. I am not a suspension genus so I can't tell you what it does.
