I was just looking at the pics that people have posted. Is there a reason noone is using the channel for the wiring? I ran my servo wire through it.
Didnt know if there was a problem with doing this, I just thought it was alot neater in it.

I was just wondering if there was a problem with using them. Im gonna use them. Just gotta figure out how to hold batt from the front with my aluminum posts in and put motor/esc in and mines good to go.
What pinion should I be running on the 17.5? Im gonna start with that motor and work my way to the 8.5
thanks

I saw where most are running 31-33t on 70 losi. I was gonna run the 76, maybe in the upper 20's would be a good place to start?

I was / am planning on it.. but needed to get the car together for a big race so I ran out of time. I also wanted to make sure I liked my electronics placement beforehand. Next time the electronics get rewired or moved... I will have the time to use the pods.
For a 17.5? No...but it totally depends on what motor you are running, how much endbell timing you are running, and what rotor you are running. I run the following in mine (blinky mode)
Fantom Apex 17.5 (Epic Revtech)
12.5 high torque rotor
31/69
maxed endbell timing
90x60 indoor clay track
temps around 125
fastest 17.5 on the track
Fantom Apex 17.5 (Epic Revtech)
12.5 high torque rotor
31/69
maxed endbell timing
90x60 indoor clay track
temps around 125
fastest 17.5 on the track

Novak 17.5
High rpm stator
Vented end bells
Ceramic bearings
No ring around center of the motor
Two shims behind the rotor (spaces the rear of the rotor more away from the sensor board)
12.3 rotor
Timing on end bell is so that the middle wires of the sensor wires are right infront of the screw closest to the wires (if you look at the motor from behind its the top left silver screw)
Right now i am geared 30/69 and it is ballistic fast.. Passed a couple mod trucks on the staright.
Motor temps about 145 after a full battery (15 or so mins.)
Track is about 80x90 and is just a normal dirt track (no clay)
