Yes, just pick up a pack of long ball studs and be done with it. The short ones have a tendency to rip out. My car did it, 2 other friends cars did it (none of us crashed when it happened either). The black short ball studs don't screw in long enough, change them to the long ones and problems are gone. Also don't skimp on the grub (set) screws, use them where the manual tells you.

I just picked up one of these packs but didn't have time to test with it yet. From what I know Chris Moore is using it and he loves it, using one aluminum weight in mid channel, actual battery pack part forward. Cant wait to tinker with getting the perfect balance with it. Plus in stock with that 90c he is ballistic.

So when are you going to ditch the AE and get an RB6?

Thanks, I'll just make note of that, Cheers,

What do I need to use a smaller spur? Seems Kyo doesnt make any smaller than stock spur 76. What gears are you guys running for Blinky 17.5?

You can use the AE or kimbrough gears (AE makes down to a 72, kimbrough a 69) you just need the gear and a set of AE slipper pads. Make sure if you get the kimbrough gear that its the one that accepts the AE pads.

.2 would be metal for sure. They make a combo pack that has a .3 .2 and .1 that go on by the CVDs and axles, and then smaller ones of the same size that are made for the smaller hinge pin holes. Very handy to have.

"These are also used on the Ultima and Lazer family of vehicles to remove excess play in the suspension arms, and are also used in the servo saver assemblies. "

Always have a bag of these in the small parts box!
