Pick up one of the latest RB5 setup sheets, and you'll need to dremel the original front tower to free up the big bores and build a +13mm chassis. Body is not Kyosho it is Proline bulldog. Not to mention the NCG arms will set you back a fair coin, whereas RB6 comes with gull wing arms stock. Though RB5 parts will be in ample supply I expect RB6 setup development going forward.
I never said you can't run the car box stock either, more power to you

Ok you don't NEED the +13. Guys at my local track are running the stock chassis and they're the fastest guys around. The front tower gets dremeled bc guys with the WC use the older shock tower so it needs to be dremeled. If you use the tower that comes with the kit, it does not. And are you seriously going to argue over the body? A few locals run the stock body and are quick. The bulldog does have better downforce tho. I would say 95% of people change the body, no matter what car it is. Body change is irrelevant. The b4.1 wc even comes with a bulldog now. I happen to run the finnisher.
It's the same as any other car. When I had the 22 I added about $60 worth of hop ups before it felt decent. My rb5wc... $4 shock tower. Ran the stock body for a month and STILL felt better than my 22.

Any of you guys that have actually seen the rb6 be able to tell how much room there would be for the esc in the space provided and under the shell as it looks really low in that area. I use a HW xtreme stock with fan but not sure it will fit in (looking to run mid motor btw)

You likely wont need to run the esc fan in 2wd, by the way.

Thanks for the quick reply, looking at the manual the esc looks to be in a similar position in both configurations so it might be ok. Oh and I need the fan as I race indoors on carpet with a lot of boost!!

I race indoors on very high traction clay... and for a while I was running a 7.5... no fan needed on my speed passion or LRP esc. Considering the battery strap goes OVER the ESC... i don't think you will be able to run a fan. But, that's just speculation. I don't drive the car yet.

Saddle packs or stick, which type would you think works best in the RB6? Maybe it's hard to guess before anyone has had a chance to drive the car, but feel free to share your opinion anyway I know both types will fit in the RB6 (in both configurations as far as I can tell), but I'm more interested in difference in handling, flexibility, etc, if it's possible to say something about that.
