Start reading at post #12885.
And you don't run shims under the RF holder.

Do I have to run a laydown in my RB6 to use the 6.6 body or will it work with my stand up 3-gear?
The 6.6 comes with a standup 3 gear.

There is a good antisquat chart on petit rc for the RB6.

You can run up to a 1mm shim under the RF block with the laydown, I'm currently running one

We've discussed Tebo's chart before and how he has it backwards.

I searched petit and still can't find any reference to running shims under the RF block. Never seen it on a setup sheet either.
I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't. I'm just curious about why. Is that much more anti-squat a benefit on certain surfaces? It moves the roll center?

Anyone have a body on pic of your 6.6 with 3 gear stand-up?

Indeed, in the UK it's 99% astroturf or carpet.
Same principles apply to any surface ;

Overall pin higher = more natural rotation & more on power steering @ expense of off power sidebite.
Low pin the opposite.

More antisquat = less weight transfer on/off power so more on power steering & a little more instantaneous traction as you get on the gas at the expense of on power sidebite & ability to accelerate through bumps.

Less total antisquat the opposite.

As a rule of thumb if grip high & track smooth then increase both.

In 30+ years I've never seen a sugared dirt track but if you are running slicks you should be running high pin & loads of antisquat

On the latest setup sheets, they reference shims under the RF and RR both.

Some excellent info here.
Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to try more anti-squat next time out because I do notice that I'm really hooked up on power and have to blip off the throttle to make it steer.

Cannot anyone help with a baseline indoor clay med-high traction setup for a 6.6?
