Thanks for your input mang!
2.2 is more rubber, bigger sidewall. This means when the tire squishes you get a bigger contact patch. You need this in mod especially. OCRCArmy confirms this and I've also done some side by side comparisons.

In stock it's a bit of a trade off, you don't need the traction as you don't have the HP, and you get a bonus of lighter drivetrain rotating mass, AND also unsprung weight is reduced. In stock this can all be super critical to going just a little faster. In MOD you don't really need it, you can have WAY more HP than you would ever need.

It might be because of my Avatar or most likely because I spent 1/2 a day studying the manual and dreaming about how fast I could be with the car.

I just built up a B6D and put on it what I wanted to in terms of upgrades. I probably ended up spending more than I wanted to because the little purchases add up but since they are being done one by one you don't notice it.

Kyosho America called my LHS to find out how many kits they wanted to order. The 6.6 container is on the water.

I run a Motiv motor. Not sure on timing but it's up around 40. My car weighs 1600 on 2.2 wheels with steel drive shafts and stock 4 gear. We mainly run mod so I haven't put much focus on 17.5 setup. But, I did finally get a 3 gear built with aluminum pucks and ceramic bearings and going to try 2.4 wheels. Running it for the first time tomorrow.
Likea, what's your weight and drivetrain and opinion on 2.2 versus 2.4 wheels?
I'm running a Fantom FR-1 works team and comes off around 112* after a run outdoors. Car is light. Running 3 gear and the light chassis. Weight is at the bleeding edge at 1499.99. Running 2.2 wheels as the 2.4 thing seems to be dying out. Lots of manufacturers are dropping support for them it seems.

The surface I typically run outdoor is dusty outside the grooveline hard packed clay. I used the pucks for a time but MIP stopped supporting them so I stopped using them.

I still like the pucks setup because of the money it saves on outdrives and driveshafts. Avid axles work awesome with MIP driveshafts. MIP diff gear is the same for B5M and RB6 so I'm hoping the MIP diff rings will also be the same.

After spending hours to get it to spin free, it lasted less than 2 runs. I had my doubts about 3D printed parts. I'm sure others have had better results with the stuff. I'm just sharing my experience. I hope there's gear cases on that KYO boat.
