Ah yes I thought he was referring to the front, thank you for the info though on the characteristics of the arms. I look forward to trying them on the car

Anyone here running mod and the 3 gear...can you comment on how it feels compared to the 4 gear? I'm in the middle of building my new RB6 and debating waiting for the 3 gear release from kyosho or building it with the 4 gear. Thanks in advance

3 gear has more overall rear traction and much more rip out of the corners. You dont have to wait on kyosho for 3 gear ( you might be waiting for along time) there are steps on pettitrc on how to make one.

Thanks for the heads up, ill add that to my list of things to try. Yeah ill Def. let you know how it goes, might go a week from this Saturday to test stuff. I have to run a few laps to learn the surface and then ill get my car sorted based on the attributes of turf.

Turf does look like fun tho, cant wait to try it!!

I thought I have heard that the 3 gear has less forward traction. But if it has more traction then great. I have the case mods done I just don't have the spacers yet.
I just recently picked up a used RB6 but I've had a RT6 and SC6 for a while. The short time that I have driven it I really like the feel of it. I basically have Zack Roger's setup on it with a few twists.
I just turned the battery sideways and I'm going to try it this weekend.

In a 3 gear config the motor rotates toward the front of the car. You will get less weight transfer to the rear on power and under braking there will be less weight transfer forward... The car will basically stay flatter under braking and acceleration... So yes, you will have less forward traction.....

The 3 gear does produce less forward drive / traction from a standing start / low speed but because it keeps the front end loaded you can carry higher corner speed so you make less demands on the available traction out of the corners so it can feel like there is more traction overall.

Unless it's very low bite I think the 3 gear is generally quicker over a lap if you are a smooth flowing driver.

3 gear is fine. I found a bad wheel bearing and made handling really inconsistent.

I am working on my rb6. I just set it up to a mid motor. How do you hold the battery in when you set it sideways? Thank you all again.

Took the car out for a little clubbing,
Fresh layout just went in, but figured I'd try the sideways battery setup.

I really liked the feel of it, even on a green layout. Was pleasantly surprised with how well it was doing. I can see why a lot of people have gone to it. Once the traction comes up, I'll probably do the 3 gear tranny mod too and see if both together work well enough for me so see it as a viable tuning option. Probably be sticking with the sideways for sure. Car wasn't fully dialed in setup wise, so I expect it to get better.
