A) You can't move the battery in either of those cars, thus eliminating an important adjustment.
And
B) The one car has probably 2-3oz worth of wire on one side of the car, because the ESC is miles from the motor.

I tried a different front end on my car this last weekend for our series race here. I have really liked my car, but with the new Aluminum 502 pivot coming out that I run on my truck, I wanted to try that front end on my 2W. It was actually pretty good. I thought I would lose some steering but I don't think I lost as much as I thought, but I gained quite a bit of stability allowing me to drive it a little harder. For those looking to try something different, just please note the different droop, axle spacing, and parts used on the front end.
Did it make the car to wide if you ran the caster blocks out?
What did you notice by using this new front block?

Similar to the truck it basically makes the front end not roll as much while laying the shocks down a tick. You get less steering but the front end is a little more predictable when running it hard.

Front end reacts faster, more roll in the corners giving more steering on exit. Lands about the same but it has a bit more plunge on compression.

Thank you very much KK, I appreciate it. Looks like I will give it a try with my Mod buggy, maybe 17.5 too.
After a few club races my 17.5 car is just getting faster. Last race I bumped up to the A and finished on the podium, that felt good.
My Mod buggy is almost ready for showtime. Who is running their shorty inline?

shock retainers
Has anyone tried any other shock retainers on kyosho shocks ..as I noticed u can't buy kyosho retainers by themselves only with complete shock kits ? Do associated or losi fit ?

This may or may not have been answered but what is the difference between the 2015 version of the kit and the older? Why is the older one still more money? You can buy either on amain currently

Here's a stock setup based off my current mod setup. It was really fast but stable for me. I dont have anything crazy on my car like pucks or cut gears, it's basically the aluminum parts from Kyosho, a Schelle top shaft and lockout, and a kyosho gear diff. The mid motor is pretty essential to stock racing as well and I would recommend making one as its pretty easy to do.
