Looks like a Kyosho 22, no thanks. Pretty soon you'll all be raising your trannies searching for rear grip. Hopefully I'm wrong but only time will tell.
he

The reason 22's lack rear traction is NOT the aluminium chassis nor the fact they don't have t-plates. Look at the DEX201 which is uses the same layout...plenty of rear traction there. The plastics on the 22 are just too damn stiff!

when I had my rb5 sp I broke alot. Alot stupid shock caps for whatever reason and the rear axles snapped off with the tire still attached a few times. Those are 17 bux a single side. Then the T-plates.

Car was fast though and I liked it more then my B4. I drive a 22 now and simply love it. Suits me well. Maybe this Rb6 might suit me now better too. Interested but I'll buy a used one whenever one of you want to sell one. hehe I can wait.

Like I said, I could be wrong. Looks like the same rear axles though. You'd think they'd address the biggest issue of the previous car, although I think the breakages may have had to do with heat treatment and at some point Kyosho changed it because I got my WC about 6 months ago and mine just keep bending rather than breaking.

Simple fact is, it looks A LOT like a 22. A lot of former 22 owners have a bad taste left in their mouths from that car. It will have to win us over, maybe it will, maybe it won't.

Any news of a matching 4WD to go with the RB6?

I don't like the front shock tower. Looks too much like the B4 which I thought was silly. Should have kept the low profile RB5 one. Looked much cleaner.

My 22 has plenty of traction. What set up are you running on your 22? Or do you even have one?

Hey Brian,

I don't own a 22...never said i did. I can have an opinion though since there are some top guys driving 22's in my local track. I am not trying to say that is a bad car, and to be completely honest I don't care if it is a bad car or not...I am just saying that not having a t-plate is not the sole reason for low traction

Cool. I like the new Kyosho. If it wasn't so expensive I would not mind having one.

LOL I'm with you, thats a mirror your'e looking at, who can tell it's a better car from just looking at the pics? All I'm sayin is it is such a big change in design that I don't see it driving at all like the current rb5. Obviously it should be better and most likely it is. But last year after a long hiatus from the sport I bought 4 new 2w buggies and settled on the rb5 because the laps times were low and I liked how it drove. The new car is a radically different design and "looks" like it is a combination of the 3 brands I didn't like. Even if it "looked" like the current car I still wouldn't be preordering just because it's new.
But it's a personal philosophy more than a statement about the car. BITD I would have used every connection I had to get the newest fastest car and parts and tricks before my competitors. But I'm not racing 3-4 times a week and I like some other luxuries in life so it's just more practical for me too wait.
One race by their premier driver and one press release ain't gonna do it for me.

I am in that same group Mr. Looper.

If you see one in the flesh anytime soon, it won't be mine.

Also, I reserve the right to change my mind later or purchase used. I have been known to be wishy washy.
