So I just finished fitting all of the upgrade bits to my MM RB6; can't believe how much difference in weight between the stock arms and the carbon-composite arms! I actually thought the kit must have come with the carbon ones because I couldn't tell a difference visually but each pair of arms saves over 5 grams (good reduction in unsprung mass) and with the shock towers adds up to a total saving of over 15grams. Car is now sitting at 1465grams with no bits removed or any drilling etc done to lighten anything; and that's with a standard servo & standard 220g shorty (not these super light 160g ones I keep reading about. Just have to figure out where to add weight back in now to meet the 1499 requirement...

Nice to know buddy. I might put back my full shorty after I get my hands on those. Might have to stock up, my LHS only carries the softer stock parts.

Those slop out like crazy. No bearings they got king pins so it worse metal on metal grinding. This should be precise. I put the car with the kyosho aluminum rack on the hudy station and it's got 3 4 degrees slop on servo centered. This is after 8 or so race days on the rack.

I was involved in the development of this product, and it eliminates the slop from the rack. It also provides some additional adjustments, you can move the ballstuds out shortening the steering link lengths.

RB6 Ball Bearing Steering Rack Features:
1. Precision CNC machined and black anodized with laser etched Schelle logo.
2. Inboard “kit” location allows shifts steering pivots back 1mm for more Ackermann.
3. Wide pivot option shortens steering link for different bump-steer geometry which is more predictable as the chassis leans in cornering.
4. Steering pivots slop-free on 4 pcs 3x6mm flanged ball bearings.
5. Rack ballstuds anchor into black M3 aluminum nylon locking nuts.
6. Includes Steering Rack, M3 nuts, Bearings, Shims, and Instructions and Schelle mini decal.
7. Fits Kyosho RB6, RT6, SC6.

i finished building my rb6 recently coming from nitro and i swear 2wd's take longer to build and are more complicated than anything 8 scale...

i had the slipper set as per the manual with the nut flush with shaft end and found it to be slipping very badly, i tightened the slipper incrementally and could only eliminate slip with the spring completely compressed.
is this normal?
also i am now doubting the ball diff set up as there seems to be a strange whinning noise when on throttle.

ive never had problems running multiple nitro's and electric 8th scales, but this thing has me scratching my head.
