Looking for another rb6. I'm willing to spend $250 shipped for a raw, non-upgraded no extra parts, no tires, and no body. Just raw roller preferably in mid-moto config or have mid-motor parts to convert.

is there a chart or post anywhere that compares the AvidRC springs with the Kyosho RB6 bigbore ones?

I tried to make an XLS file that compared spring rates between the companies and found that nobody has reliable info on spring rates. Petit RC did a comparison chart but the data they show is different from the data I found elsewhere so I don't know who's data is correct. And the Petit RC chart mislabeled half of the part numbers for the Kyosho springs so I don't know how accurate the rest of their data is.

I'm tempted to find my own testing equipment and just do it all myself. Someone needs to.

Values on petit chart comes from the manufacturers (theorical) and most of the measured values were provided by Roger Mills who kindly did some measures at one point. Yokomo values were calculated using some mathematics by myself.
Regards Kyosho reference, they were wrong for the rear ones but good for the front ones. And I just discover more springs exist XGS016 to XGS035.

I wish someone would do some serious measuring.......

I just bought all the avid springs because i hated the idea of spending $22 for a pair of springs.....

Last friday I was struggling to get the car dialed so I bit the bullet and spent the money on a set of white rear springs......and the car was worse....

I think I'll stick with the Avid's from here on out!

What's wrong with the kit springs or even gold rear? With those 2 spring rates should have every track covered.

Agree on the X springs, they are really costly, what i did and currently still using TLR buggy springs. 1 pkt has 5 or 6 i couldnt remember springs. so far have been work great, fitted both the front and rear and i would say the TLR's buggy springs are much much easier on the pocket..

cheers!!

Yes the springs are pricey but I have had the car since it released. All I ever use are front....pink or white. Rear....kit spring, gold or white. I have all the rest but for the springs I listed should cover anything from loose dirt to sugared.

Since no one is making any upgrades/bling to the rear shock tower for RM. I am going to make one of these myself. Full CF and bonded with Loctite 9340 Hysol.

Anyone interested?

Agreed. White or pink front and white, red,or gold rears you should be covered. That's all I own.

Yes on the Associated wheels, well almost 100% yes. Sometimes the area around the hex on the wheel will rub the front steering knuckle so be on the lookout for that.

As for the Serpent, not sure.
