MIP axles are about 1/8 inch longer.

Default gearing

Hey guys, I just made the switch from a TLR 22 2.0 to the RB6 ! Wow a great car . I can't seem to get it up to speed as the 22 . I'm running the same motor and gearing but it seems to be a tick slower . I'm using the Orion VST 2 7.5 motor . Is the internal ratio different than the Losi car ? By the way I am running these cars both in MM

thats probably the only thing i like better about my sons 22 over my RB6, his car is noticeably quicker than everyones. Our mod class is two 22s and then a pretty even split of AE and Kyosho. Everyone comments on how quick his car gets up to speed on our straight a way. He hits top speed at least a third of the straight a way sooner than the rest of us.

It looks like kyosho has updated the chassis they include in new kits. My old car is a 1st batch rb6 and just opened my new one up today and the chassis is different.

Not totally sure but looks like the lightweight chassis to me but I could be wrong, my kit chassis looks like your first one

It is not the light weight chassis. The LW has a lot more milling in the back and along the side rails. I have seen at least 3 different stock chassis, the 2 you have and one like your new one but missing the 2 holes for the battery stop.

It's nice that kyosho is keeping the kits up to date with improvements. It has the newer version of the mid motor bulkhead with the sway bar mounts and weight mounting holes, no dremaling the front plate required, and I suspect they have removed the short ball studs in exchange for the mid and long style.

You can see the differences here. It just looks like you have the RT6 style running change with the extra mounting holes.
